Question about engagement/marriage?

Well mine isnt the norm but i will share it with you.

My husband and i were"together dating" for 6 weeks when he proposed. We were married 4 mths later. 2 of those he spent in boot camp so we werent even together in the same place just letters and such.

So total of about 5 1/2 mths.

He was 21 years old when we were married (turned 22 a month later) and i turned 20 years old exactly 2 mths prior to the wedding

The kicker is we have been married now for 14+ years.

So it is possible and i wont ever judge anyone for how long they were together before hand.

Well for us...

We met in September of '06, hung out a lot, progressed into a relationship without us really even realizing it. June '07 we made it an official relationship. lol. He proposed to me not even 2 months later, and it's now March '09. :) We've started wedding planning a bit, but haven't set a date yet, as we have to coordinate with my family in NE, his family in FL and extended family in the netherlands. Heh! We decided on the most-centrally located Kentucky, where we met, and the centre of the horse industry, which we're both in. :)

In my opinion, there is no "right or wrong" length when it comes to becoming engaged and married. It's all about what is right for the two of you. :)

We met online in a chat room in Nov 06 and chatted on msn, and phone for 9 months before we met in person in Aug 07, we got engaged in April 08 and are getting married in June.
