His economic stimulus plan was chucked full of earmarks as usual.

NO CHANGE (He said that he would not stand for any more business as usual and yet here we are)

Instead of decreasing the US budget for 2009, he increased it by 8% in a time of economic despair.

Bailout money was like throwing out the baby with the bath water.

PRO UNION because he received a lot of money from unions.

I got news for Obama and America, Unions are an idea from the 40's and 50's when companies would severely mistreat employees. Not today. Why do the dumb Union bosses make so much money on the backs of the hard working Americans. They do absolutely nothing to justify their existence. Shame on Obama

The American people will always see Obama as the milestone President that is black, little more than a novelty.

He is hip and cool and all that but he is going to bankrupt this country by punishing business to pay for his out of control spending.

I guess I really don't like Obama much.

I understand Obama is in a very difficult position right now. A failing economy, a sitting war conflict, and growing federal debt. But he needs to stop this senseless spending. He needs to be able to stand up to congress and veto bills that are filled with all these earmarks and pork. And yes these stimulus packages will have serious consquences in the future. We have a $12 trillion dollar debt, thats $12,000,000,000,000,000. He says he can balance that but we can't even get a budget surplus let alone enough to begin paying it off. I just don't know. Obama gives the sense of hope that could fix the economy, I just don't know if hes competitent enough to pull it off without bankrupting the nation.

NO! He is going to end up lowering the value of the dollar so much. What happens when places like China call in the debt? He'll print a bunch of money, causing lots of inflation and hurting the economy. This whole "stimulus package" will RUIN us.

Not that Bush was that much better. Republicans and Democrats have no idea what they are doing.

Not even close to a good job. The last guy, I believe, did a great job in office. he served 2 terms and kept this country free during 2 wars. He almost got democracy in Iraq(his mission is practically completed) So far OBAMA has let all the terrorists go from Gitmo and Mexico is attacking the U.S. MEXICO that is incredibly weak and he is doing nothing about it.

I am not to much into politics but I work with the government and by what I have heard, no. He can talk the talk but he can't walk the walk. People made Bush sound bad, they can't even imagine how bad it's gonna get. We cannot just give people money, they need to work for money like the rest of us. The Bible says, "If a man does not work, that man does not eat." Bush did what he thought was right for the United States. Obama does what is best for his people.

Obama is doing a good job at spending the country into bankruptcy, opening the door to terrorists and promoting the killing of unborn babies. He also did a pretty good job at insulting the handicapped. If he can accomplish this much in two months, I shudder to think at what he could accomplish in four years

He's doing the best he can and that's not to shabby.The package freaks us out because it was a package instead of a long drawn out, step by step bag of trash we have all become so accustomed to with Elmer Fudd Bush. It will take time for us all to adjust to someone that speaks with if nothing else, common sense. I'm republican but I'm sure it's hard to tell if you judge me on what just got out of office.

First off it's a spending bill not a stimulus. A stimulus bill would be something that would stimulate the economy not build permanent drains on the tax payers wallet. I don't like Obama. He's a liar and a cheat and I don't trust him.

Too early to tell. Some things are going pretty well. Other things not so much. Most things need a chance to develop before we can really judge. I think you are right to be skeptical, but try to avoid falling into pessimism. We survived Bush. We can probably survive this, too! LOL!
