Constitutional Republic, like we have, but with a more staunchly libertarian philosophy, legal, and economic system.

Fewer laws and restrictions and more personal responsibility.

I'm fascinated by parliamentary democracies, but I don't think they'd be the best for our national mindset or goals.

My definition of government is an institution with a legalized monopoly on the use of force in a given geographical area. To me, there is no difference between the government (who collects taxes from its citizens under the threat of imprisonment) and a shoplifter, except that the government possess an undeserved air of legitimacy. A government can get away with crimes that no citizen or private corporation could ever get away with, persecuting its citizens with impunity.

A government can tax and draft its own citizens to fund, fight, and die in a war that the people do not believe in. No private corporation could ever coerce so many people in such an authoritative and aggressive way, and even if it tried, it would have to fund such aggression out of its own pocket, rather than relying on money extorted from others (as the government does).

The idea that a government truly upholds and represents the wants and needs of its people is a sick joke. Governments are notorious for their ability to enslave and persecute the very people they have pledged themselves to guard and protect.

In short, government is the most perverse and depraved entity ever instituted among men. There is no such thing as a benevolent government because all governments must collect their citizens' earnings through force to remain in power. Furthermore, the idea that mankind cannot function without the overseeing governance of the State is a blatant falsehood, disproved numerous times throughout history, and spread by those who wish to remain in power yet fail to find any other way to do so than by making their citizens fear a life without them. Throughout history, no single institution has been the cause of so much violence, theft, and mass-murder as the State.

Ones philosophy of government and politics are not the same.

My philosophy of politics may be summed by the old quote: That government is best which governs least. by Thomas Paine.

My politics (principles and actions designed to promote the best government) are based on one simple principle: Personal freedom with personal responsibility.

I've always liked the idea of Federalism. After all, we are divided into states. Let the national government handle only those things that the states can't on their own...and that's it! If you want government to be small, then you have to bring more responsibility down to the local levels. IMHO

Politics is largely about power and the quest for such power.

I don't need a leader. I don't need to be governed by another. And I don't need to bestow power onto another person.

My philosophy of social relationships is based largely on the person involved in that interaction. I don't have a cookie cutter model of how one should interact or engage with out people.

How I interact with you will largely be determined by how you treat me.

I agree 100% with Deadalus. No government is better than any current one.
