Does your cat rearrange things in your house?
My cats rearrange everything. Allie always removes the filters from the litter boxes. Even if I sneak them back in when she's not looking, she finds them later and takes them back out.
Willie always takes the cat toys out of the basket when I put them away. He doesn't play with them, he just scatters them around the house and leaves them.
Peanut likes the kitchen rugs to be face down. I turn them back over about 3 times a day or more. And of course, anything left lying on a table is subject to be knocked off in the floor *just because*.
What things does your cat like to fix to his/her liking?

Oh lord where do I start?!?!?
Well Kiora doesn't really move much of anything. She's my "pretty but dumb" kitty. She's just meant to sit there and be beautiful, and she does that very well.
Logan is the mastermind of all things. I've come home to find the freezer door open and a half thawed package of bacon partially eaten on the floor. He turns off light switches, opens the dishwasher (while it's running) for his own personal spot checks. He's even gotten into the fridge after opening the freezer and helped himself to what he found inside. He got my cell phone once and hid it in the box spring of my bed. I found a whole stash of things in the hole he made there ... money (both paper and coin), toys, hair clips, etc. And of course if I've done something to affont him in some way, he knocks things off shelves, counter tops, the bath tub ... just to show his annoyance. If I'm late with his medicine (which is put in a yogurt & pumpkin mixture) he knocks his food dishes off the washing machine.
Hazel is my good kitty. Other than incidental damage or the occasional "you angered me, so I pushed that glass off the table in retaliation" ... she doesn't move things.
Pierce is my little pica cat I swear. If it can fit in her mouth, it goes IN her mouth. She never eats anything, but she will chew on it or just carry it around chirping. I can't leave change in the change dish in my bedroom anymore, as she will make quick work of it and spread it through the house. My toothbrush must be kept in the linnen closet or she will carry it through the house. Her stuffed bear I gave her when I trapped her (she was a feral kitten, about 3 weeks old when I found her) has been found in various parts of the house. How she was able to carry or drag it when it was bigger than her I will never know. My medic alert necklace is her favorite fixation. I must wear it 24/7 or put it in a drawer. Otherwise she will carry it off. She even tries to pull it off me while I"m wearing it. Left a nasty bruise the time she jumped off the back of the chair with the medallion part in her mouth. My glasses must be in a drawer when I sleep. I have badly scratched and pitted lenses because she has a fixation with them. Took me 2 hours to find them once. She had taken them into her little cat house.
Oh yes, my crew certainly likes to do their damage and let me know just who really runs this house.

My cats all have their quirks, Scribbles likes to have her perch in the window and the blinds have to be open just enough or she will bat at them until one of the slats falls out in order to see out the window. Willy will sleep on my bed all day if I let him and the pillows have to be stacked a certain way, if they aren't then when I get home he will have done it himself which often results in the pillow cases being completely removed from the pillows and all the pillows are mashed up between the headboard and the wall. I haven't a clue how he manages this. Then there is Missy, she will work for hours getting the litter in the litter boxes rearranged to her liking and then when one of the other cats uses the litter box she has to inspect the damage and bury any presents. Needless to say my kitties stay very busy.

Taz will go into my mom's purse and move all of its contents to the floor. He is also one of those "I will push over stacks of things JUST BECAUSE" cats. He will steal all of my hair bands so that I find them a month later under all the furniture.
Zara is pretty good about not rearranging things, but there is one cabinet that absolutely must be open. If I close it, she will sit there and pound on it until the door is ajar. Once she has accomplished this, it no longer has any fascination for her.

yes ChiChi lives on the wild side. His favorite thing to rearrange is my silverware. I have a silverware drawer above a cupboard, then the countertop above. So he has actually figured out how to open the cupboard with his paw, goes inside the cupboard below, then he goes all the way to the back of it, finds the back of the silverware drawer, then pushes the back of the silverware drawer with his paw, pushes it forward until it opens. Then he goes to the top counter, gets in the silverware drawer, and finally, he can drop everything....spoons, forks, KNIVES on the ground below. One time I woke up in the middle of the night to hear a loud banging in the kitchen, I got up and found ChiChi dropping knives and other dangerous silverware onto the ground below and my Punky looking up at him as he did it. She was lucky her eye didn't get stabbed out.
Now I have to put the knives to the side where he can't drop them out so easily.
Also, NOTHING can be on a table, he WILL push it off and onto the floor for my bunny to chew up. He's quite a stinker.

Luigi does one of the funniest things ever.
We have one of those fountain water dishes. We have to unplug it when we have to use the microwave. Sometimes I forget to plug the fountain back in and Luigi will sit there staring and crying at it for about 5 minutes. After 5 minutes passes, he knocks the top off of it (because he knows thats where the water comes out). And he kicks the lid all the way into the bedroom at my feet until I go back and plug the fountain back in. It's the most absolute adorable thing that he does.

Hahaha. My cats are exactly like that!
There's never any clutter on the table tops, because my cats like to make sure that the space is clear, just in case they want to sit there later. So everything gets knocked off 'just because'. Haha.
My favorite is my cat Wyatt's sock-tidying habit. (Ranked his intelligence as 'genius' on catster, hah.) I have a habit of kicking my socks off of my feet during the night, and they fall off the end of my bed. Every single day when I wake up, there are my socks, lying neatly on Wyatt's fluffy circle chair.
Well, it's *my* chair, but since I've gotten cats, nothing's really 'mine' anymore. =)
The weird thing is, he only does this to my black work socks. When I wear other colors on the weekends, he just hides them.
I don't know if he understands that I just throw them in the laundry and get a fresh pair of black socks, or if he thinks that he's helping me get ready in the morning. Either way, it's adorable.
Culley does the thing with the toys and the basket as well! Except we have their toys in a pretty green shoe box, and he likes to dump all the toys out just so he can sit in the box.
Whenever I fold one of their blankets up (they have two SpongeBob blankets, and one 'biscuit blanket' that they constantly knead on), they insist on unfolding them. They don't sit on them or anything, they just like them messy.
Conclusion: Cats are weird. =)
They're so funny!

Right now Elvira is too obsessed with watching the birds at the feeders at the window. She is very fussy about her litter. She wants it all piled up at one end of the box and not evenly smoothed out. Every time we change the box, she works for quite a while to get it just so!
At least your kitties keep busy. Very cute!

During the night, my cat Twit will take clean dish rags out of the kitchen drawer and "kill" them and leave them in the hallway for me to find in the morning. One morning there were 6! I cannot leave stacks of mail or papers on the table because when the cats lay there they like to push and push with their hind feet until the papers crash to the floor. : )

Hi there,
Hubble likes to rearrange almost anything he can get his paws on. He loves especially to move his toys from one room to another.. he obviously doesn't like where I store them. He gets a scowl on his face, even when I put away his toys, just like a young child. It is funny to watch his facial expressions.
On the other paw, Hush Puppy loves to rearrange items we put on our coffee table in front of the couch where we watch TV. He prefers that the box of kleenex is on the floor.. it is easier for him to get a tissue, I assume.
Read more about his antics, by visiting the article I wrote about him for Petside.com

Thanks for a fun question. I am glad we are not alone:)
