Series 6, 7, and Health certifications--What is required to take the exams?

A job I want to get requires these exams. My university only offers a class in series 7 but I cannot take it because I am not in the finance program. It is for being a personal banker at a local bank. What is required to take the exams? All I find when I google it are ads for prep books, etc.

Series 6 is for mutual funds. It's a smaller version of the Series 7 with a lot of restrictions.

Series 7 is a brokers license. There is a huge binder that goes along with the Series 7 exam. There is a 5 day course as well to help with preparation. I was sponsored by the bank I worked for. They provided the materials, signed me up for the class, and I took the exam. It is a tough exam. It is very important to stay focused on the questions. They are long. It's very easy to get distracted when you get to the possible answers. There is a lot of material. Apply for the job. I worked in private banking. They may have you take the Foundations in Financial Planning exam. There are at least 5-7 books for that exam.

    Good luck.
