Why do people have a problem with Promise Keepers?

In light of Sanford's affair coming to light, I've seen several questions here making fun of Promise Keepers. Here are the 7 promises of Promise Keepers. Other than those who object to Christians in general, what do people see here to object to?

Seven Promises of a Promise Keeper

PROMISE 1

A Promise Keeper is committed to honoring Jesus Christ through worship, prayer and obedience to God's Word in the power of the Holy Spirit.

PROMISE 2

A Promise Keeper is committed to pursuing vital relationships with a few other men, understanding that he needs brothers to help him keep his promises.

PROMISE 3

A Promise Keeper is committed to practicing spiritual, moral, ethical, and sexual purity.

PROMISE 4

A Promise Keeper is committed to building strong marriages and families through love, protection and biblical values.

PROMISE 5

A Promise Keeper is committed to supporting the mission of his church by honoring and praying for his pastor, and by actively giving his time and resources.

PROMISE 6

A Promise Keeper is committed to reaching beyond any racial and denominational barriers to demonstrate the power of biblical unity.

PROMISE 7

A Promise Keeper is committed to influencing his world, being obedient to the Great Commandment (see Mark 12:30-31) and the Great Commission (see Matthew 28:19-20).

Update:

Allow me to clarify. I am not asking what issues you have with men who claim to be Promise Keepers, I'm asking what issues you have with the promises. If your issues are with liars and hypocrites, then your issues are non-partisan, as neither party has the moral high ground.

Some people are just jealous that they don't have that kind of faith

Excellent question! I'm onboard with those Promises personally. Those who are secularists/Satanic are going to attack (like calling someone a hypocrite) at every opportunity because they are guided by Satan.

Just like the recent legislation the US House passed (Demonrats in charge) that links preaching the Bible, in church even, to hate crimes, hate speech and clearly is a Satanic attempt to legislate free speech and freedom of religion.

It's in the Senate now and Obama will sign it (you'll know them by their fruit) as soon as it gets to his desk. Not that the Republicans are moral either.

The problem isn't with the committments they make verbally, but the actions they take which counter those verbal committments.

Sanford, Ensign, and even the founder of Promise Keepers have been caught violating Promises 4 and 5.

Funny how I can keep those promises with my wife without having to make a public proclamation of it and getting my photo taken for the media.

We are living in the end times.

Men's hearts are growing cold. More and more people hate anything to do with Christians and especially Jesus Christ. It is not the promises, its the fact that it is Christian that they hate.

More and more people think that what is wrong is right and what is right is wrong — another proof we are in the last days.

Take heart, He Is COMING SOON.

Because they are judging it on the actions of a handful of people who do it wrong, instead of the millions who live their lives well.

You know, for the same reasons that most idiots misunderstand other people.

A lot of people are uncomfortable with others who make a visible effort to do what's morally right. Instead of also trying to do what's right, they want to prove that others are no better than they, themselves, which is a lot easier.

I have no problem with promise keepers. I only have concern with those who are now picking up stones...

Because they seem to have a problem with people trying to become better people. Of course we all fail from time to time in many different ways but I think they feel threatened by people who try. They haven't the guts to try to improve themselves so pounce on those that do try but fail. It is very sad..

I didn't know they were still around. I haven't heard them mentioned in years. Was Sanford a follower? He forgot to KEEP his promise.
