So i just got a kitten today, where and when will it sleep!? its 11:00 p.m by me.?

Yep its 9 week old. And if i leave it alone, it starts purring and meowing. But when its by me, it moves around everywhere!! And checks out everything in the room. When will it sleep? How can i get it to sleep. Any things i can do? When ever i walk away from it, it chases after me, or if it doesn't notice i left, i will start meowing. It is very cute..but im just wondering how can i get it to sleep.. ha ha.

Update:

Yep, i lied down on the carpet floor, and it came and slept right next to me, leaning against me. But i dont know how i'm going to get in bed. =p

Update 2:

but he does seem to be getting tired. So that's great.

    Cute!

The kitten will sleep when it wants to, probably during the day! However, if kitty is with you he/she will be more content and not keep you awake by meowing so just put kitty on the bed with you and (try to) go to sleep, and let kitty do it's thing (as long as he/she knows where the litter box and food and water are). Make sure there is nothing the kitten can get into and get hurt. Make sure kitty has plenty of toys nearby and a nice sisal scratching post (preferably with a perch on top).

this will pass when the kitten becomes familiar with its surroundings perhaps a few days to a few weeks. Nine weeks is about right for kittens to be able to be on their own, he/she is just scared and needs your comfort. perhaps get an old box and place some an old wash cloth in there, for comfort, don't close the box, but set it next to your bed. put kitty in there and reach down to pet her during the night if she wines. You don't want cats on your bed, allergies you know, so get her used to sleeping on the floor in or a bed of some kind now.

cats are creatures of the night, I hear my cat is most active between 2 and 4 am. She will sleep when she wants to. Place some food out too. soft food.

Awww...your new kitten sounds so stunning! First, make effective he's clutter field knowledgeable. positioned him in a spare mattress room or laundry room with foodstuff, water, and a litterbox. save him in there for some hours till you notice that he's utilising the litterbox and not making "messes" everywhere else. some cats will tutor their kittens to apply the field, and others won't. if your kitten makes use of the clutter field, then you extremely can permit him have run of the domicile. If he would not, make effective his foodstuff and water are on the choice factor of the room from the clutter field. freshen up any messes, and place the mess interior the clutter field. it may in basic terms take him an afternoon or 2 in the previous he realizes that he's susposed to bypass interior the clutter field. My kitten wasn't litterbox knowledgeable once I further him domicile, and it took him 2-3 days to get the carry of it. there is not any rationalization why your kitten can not sleep on the mattress with you from Day a million. maximum cats will locate some snug place to sleep, whether it relatively is on the mattress, settee, or sprawled out on the floor, and in case you purchase a particular mattress for them, they maximum probable won't use it. make effective he has an suited place to scratch. Scratching is unquestionably significant for them, and that they're going to do it on the settee, table legs, etc, except you furnish a scratching submit. because of the fact's a male kitten, you will choose for to get him neutered as quickly as he's gigantic adequate (4 months). in case you do not, he will mark the domicile by utilising spraying urine everywhere, and as quickly as a cat starts off doing that, it relatively is totally practically impossible to tutor them otherwise. sturdy luck with your new kitten!

It is good to let the kitten run around and investigate the house, it will burn some energy off and help them sleep as well as help them become more accustom to where he is. Give him some wet cat food like kitten fancy feast or some milk. Eating usually helps put them to sleep.

that happened to me when i first got my cat. i got about 3 hours of sleep per night for the first week. she will eventually get used to your schedule and sleep when you want her to.

she is just anxious to be in a new place, and she knows that you will be the one protecting her. she wants to be around you and get used to you, she doesn't want you to go asleep so you can love her
