I have god questions?

If he is our father, he is abusive cruel, and unfit. we are made in his image , our body shape or our souls? He puts forth a facade of love but does horrible things to people (job) chooses favorites. In order for him to be appeased he wanted his son to sacrifice himself through pain for him. gods sick!!.

if absolute power corrupts absolute and god has absolute power then god is by all means corrupted. Is the devil truely evil or did he get tired of gods insanity and cruelty and give him the finger? It's better to rule in hell than serve in heaven? Hell is supposed to be a seperation from god, is that actually good so he cant hurt us anymore?

If only jews can go to heaven whats the point of me a person of non jewish decent even trying?

moneys supposed to be evil but you cant live without it on this world. you cant do or have anything without it. Money is good.

You'd be surprised at ust how many people feel the exact same way as you do. Let me explain it for you. I'm gonna hit your points one at a time.

1.) Being made in Gods image -- what does that mean?

The Bible teaches that man was made in the image of God. (Genesis 1:26) We thus have good qualities because God has good qualities. For example, does it bother you to see innocent people suffer? If you care about such injustices, be assured that God feels even more strongly about them.

One of the best things about humans is our ability to love. That also reflects God. The Bible teaches that “God is love.” (1 John 4:8) We love because God loves. Would love move you to end the suffering and the injustice you see in the world? If you had the power to do that, would you do it? Of course you would! You can be just as sure that God will end suffering and injustice.

Adam was made “in God’s image.” (Genesis 1:27) That did not mean that Adam resembled God in appearance. Jehovah God is an invisible spirit. (John 4:24) So Jehovah does not have a body of flesh and blood. Being made in God’s image meant that Adam was created with qualities like those of God, including love, wisdom, justice, and power. Adam was like his Father in another important way in that he possessed free will. Hence, Adam was not like a machine that can perform only what it is designed or programmed to do. Instead, he could make personal decisions, choosing between right and wrong. If he had chosen to obey God, he would have lived forever in Paradise on earth.

2.) What about Job? If God really hates to see people suffer then why did ob go through so much? And does God really choose favorites?

Satan charged God with lying and implied that Jehovah was unfair in not letting Adam and Eve decide for themselves what was right and what was wrong. After Adam and Eve sinned and as the earth began to be filled with their offspring, Satan questioned the motive of all humans. “People do not serve God because they love him,” Satan charged. “Give me a chance, and I can turn anyone against God.” The account of the man named Job shows that this is what Satan believed.

Satan questioned Job’s motive for serving God. The Devil said to Jehovah: “Have not you yourself put up a hedge about [Job] and about his house and about everything that he has all around? The work of his hands you have blessed, and his livestock itself has spread abroad in the earth. But, for a change, thrust out your hand, please, and touch everything he has and see whether he will not curse you to your very face.”—Job 1:10, 11.

Satan thus argued that Job served God just for what he got in return. The Devil also charged that if Job was tested, he would turn against God. How did Jehovah respond to Satan’s challenge? Since the issue involved Job’s motive, Jehovah allowed Satan to test Job. In this way, Job’s love for God—or lack of it—would be clearly shown.

Satan soon tested Job in a number of ways. Some of Job’s animals were stolen, and others were killed. Most of his servants were slaughtered. This brought economic hardship. Further tragedy struck when Job’s ten children died in a storm. Despite these terrible events, however, “Job did not sin or ascribe anything improper to God.”—Job 1:22. Satan did not give up. He must have thought that although Job could endure the loss of his possessions, servants, and children, he would turn against God if he became sick. Jehovah let Satan strike Job with a disgusting, painful disease. But even this did not cause Job to lose faith in God. Rather, he firmly said: “Until I expire I shall not take away my integrity!”—Job 27:5.

Job was not aware that Satan was the cause of his troubles. Not knowing the details about the Devil’s challenge of Jehovah’s sovereignty, Job feared that God was the source of his problems. (Job 6:4; 16:11-14) Still, he kept his integrity to Jehovah. And Satan’s claim that Job served God for selfish reasons was proved false by Job’s faithful course! Job’s faithfulness provided Jehovah with a forceful reply to Satan’s insulting challenge. Job truly was Jehovah’s friend, and God rewarded him for his faithful course.—Job 42:12-17.

So God didn't choose favorites or single out Job. Satan the Devil did! Satan the Devil was the cause of the righteous man Job's suffering, not God!

3.) Did God just need to "appease" himself by making his son suffer a painful death? Is God that hard-hearted? Why did God allow that to happen to his son? Short answer -- the Ransom. What does that mean?

Put simply, the ransom is Jehovah’s means to deliver, or save, humankind from sin and death. (Ephesians 1:7) To grasp the meaning of this Bible teaching, we need to think back to what happened in the garden of Eden. Only if we understand what Adam lost when he sinned can we appreciate why the ransom is such a valuable gift to us.

When he created Adam, Jehovah gave him something truly precious—perfect human life. Consider what that meant for Adam. Made with a perfect body and mind, he would never get sick, grow old, or die. As a perfect human, he had a special relationship with Jehovah. The Bible says that Adam was a “son of God.” (Luke 3:38) So Adam enjoyed a close relationship with Jehovah God, like that of a son with a loving father. Jehovah communicated with his earthly son, giving Adam satisfying assignments of work and letting him know what was expected of him.—Genesis 1:28-30; 2:16, 17.

Clearly, then, when Adam disobeyed God and was condemned to death, he paid a very high price. His sin cost him his perfect human life with all its blessings. (Genesis 3:17-19) Sadly, Adam lost this precious life not only for himself but also for his future offspring. God’s Word says: “Through one man [Adam] sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned.” (Romans 5:12) Yes, all of us have inherited sin from Adam. Hence, the Bible says that he “sold” himself and his offspring into slavery to sin and death. (Romans 7:14) There was no hope for Adam or Eve because they willfully chose to disobey God. But what about their offspring, including us?

Jehovah came to mankind’s rescue by means of the ransom. What is a ransom? The idea of a ransom basically involves two things. First, a ransom is the price paid to bring about a release or to buy something back. It might be compared to the price paid for the release of a prisoner of war. Second, a ransom is the price that covers, or pays, the cost of something. It is similar to the price paid to cover the damages caused by an injury. For example, if a person causes an accident, he would have to pay an amount that fully corresponds to, or equals, the value of what was damaged.

Since a perfect human life was lost, no imperfect human life could ever buy it back. (Psalm 49:7, 8) What was needed was a ransom equal in value to what was lost. This is in harmony with the principle of perfect justice found in God’s Word, which says: “Soul will be for soul.” (Deuteronomy 19:21) So, what would cover the value of the perfect human soul, or life, that Adam lost? Another perfect human life was the “corresponding ransom” that was required.—1 Timothy 2:6.

How could one man serve as a ransom for many, in fact, millions of humans? Well, how did humans numbering into the millions come to be sinners in the first place? Recall that by sinning, Adam lost the precious possession of perfect human life. Hence, he could not pass it on to his offspring. Instead, he could pass on only sin and death. Jesus, whom the Bible calls “the last Adam,” had a perfect human life, and he never sinned. (1 Corinthians 15:45) In a sense, Jesus stepped into Adam’s place in order to save us. By sacrificing, or giving up, his perfect life in flawless obedience to God, Jesus paid the price for Adam’s sin. Jesus thus brought hope to Adam’s offspring.—Romans 5:19; 1 Corinthians 15:21, 22.

The Bible describes in detail the suffering that Jesus endured before his death. He experienced harsh whipping, cruel impalement, and an agonizing death on a torture stake. (John 19:1, 16-18, 30; Appendix, pages 204-6) Why was it necessary for Jesus to suffer so much? In a later chapter of this book, we will see that Satan has questioned whether Jehovah has any human servants who would remain faithful under trial. By enduring faithfully in spite of great suffering, Jesus gave the best possible answer to Satan’s challenge. Jesus proved that a perfect man possessing free will could keep perfect integrity to God no matter what the Devil did. Jehovah must have rejoiced greatly over the faithfulness of his dear Son!—Proverbs 27:11.

4.) Is Jehovah God corrupted? Is God uncaring and hard-hearted?

Many people think that the answer to that question is yes. ‘If God cared,’ they reason, ‘would not the world be a very different place?’ We look around and see a world full of war, hatred, and misery. And as individuals, we get sick, we suffer, we lose loved ones in death. Thus, many say, ‘If God cared about us and our problems, would he not prevent such things from happening?’

Worse yet, religious teachers sometimes lead people to think that God is hardhearted. How so? When tragedy strikes, they say that it is God’s will. In effect, such teachers blame God for the bad things that happen. Is that the truth about God? What does the Bible really teach? James 1:13 answers: “When under trial, let no one say: ‘I am being tried by God.’ For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone.” So God is never the source of the wickedness you see in the world around you. (Job 34:10-12) Granted, he does allow bad things to happen. But there is a big difference between allowing something to happen and causing it.

    For example, think ab

God is not abusive, man is abusive to others including God. God also does not do horrible things to people, when God created man he gave man free will to do as he wishes, the only law at the time was not to eat the forbidden fruit, it was mans choice to eat and that created sin.

True the Jewish people were the chosen ones because during that time they were persecuted and God promised Abraham that he would send a savior (messiah) to rescue them, this was his son Jesus Christ. When the Jews rejected Jesus as the messiah a new covenant was created for all people. When Christ died on the cross it was for all people and the death was for the forgiveness of sins.

Satan was, at one time one of the greatest angels in heaven but he thought that he was greater than God, when God cast Satan from heaven Hell was created. Your final destination will be determined by you and you own actions, people can say that you are going to hell or they can warn you, such as I am, that if you do not change your ways you are headed for hell.

Sorry, but all people have the chance to enter into heaven, some religions say that there will only be 144,000 but that is wrong. I can go to heaven and you can go to heaven if you are willing to believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins.

Money is the root of all evil, it is not the possession of money that makes it evil it is the pursuit of money above everything else, putting money before God as an example. When your heart desires money more than your heart desires God then money has become an evil.

What you really need is a change of heart, your question seems to me, indicates that your heart is made of stone.

I hope every person that reads you question will pray that God softens your heart and leads you to the truth which is Jesus Christ.

Goodjob! You are among a few who can think past the structure of religion! If I was you (and I was you a few years ago) I wouldn't waste my time trying to understand the logic of God portrayed in religious stories. The stories and religion make God seem cruel. Like you said, why would God put his son through hell, when he had all the power to fix the problem himself? Why would God even need a son, aren't we suppose to be his children? If i was born in the middle east, I would be raised thinking Allah is the truth and Jesus is some mock of my religion. Religion i think is man made. That doesn't mean a God doesn't exist though. I have read alot about all the Religions and have read the holy books, and I can tell you that all the books are reffering to the same God, even though they say there not. The point is, if you read the books, and look past there rules and guidelines, you will realize that the stories are written by man, so they differ. But they are all believing in one God.

I believe in God, but i don't waste time following religion. There is plenty of proof that a God exists. I live my life to the fullest, trying to help all the creatures of the Earth (and people) I try to live in peace, im no where near perfect, and i can tell you, if you try to open up your mind just believing in God the way you want to your life will be so much better.

God is not abusive God gave us the choice on how we live our lives. many people dont pray for gods forgiveness. Also God said that his followers will be punished for following him. He loves us more than you can love anyone. God gave his son to fight the devil for Jesus wanted to fight him so we may go and see the kingdom he has prepared for all. He is not corrupt we did this on our own behalf (well acctually it was Adam and Eve) The devil was jealos of God power and got banished him and lucifers (devil) followers. The devil thinks he is more powerful but he is not. Jew are not the only person any christian will go ot heaven. Money is not bad it is bad if u get gready and u always ask God for money.

How you figure? Don't your parents punish you for disobeying them? Did your parents, at some time, seem cruel and abusive to you? Did they not ground you, when you got in trouble? Or punish you, for not doing your homework?. Did you parents teach you, how to do, what is right and wrong?. Did you put your trust in them to protect you?. And give you things, when you was in need? Did they not reward you, when you was good? Think about it.

And no heaven is not only for jews. Did you not suffer pain, and sacrifice, things for your parents? I can see, you have a whole lot of misunderstanding, about God.

God isn't a fantasy. he's genuine. Mythology, in a manner, is fiction that tries to describe issues approximately existence and creation, as a result questions approximately God can not be placed into the mythology area, when you consider that, to many human beings he's no longer a character of fiction.

That is just it. If you have not made Jesus Lord, God is not your Father.

He did nothing to Job. Satan attacked Job. And it wasn't God giving him permission, it was Job's big fear ridden mouth that opened the door to satan.Job said, " ONLY THOSE THINGS I FEARED THE MOST CAME ON ME." God is no r4especter of person's , but he is a respecter of faith.

Your problen is that you have made judgments about the bible from what you " think" You need to quit thinking and start reading to be accurate.

And the bible says that if we be Christ's ( Jew and gentile), then are we Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promises in the Abrahamic covenant.

Another thing. The LOVE of money is the root of all evil. And there are people guilty of that who are broke.God says that he wishes above ALL things that we prosper and be in heal;th, even as our souls prosper." Because prosperity will ruin the fool. If a heroin addict hits the lottery he will be dead in a month. There will be no hindrance to his addiction.

Wow you really missed the boat. First of all, Jews believe that non-Jews go to heaven too. Second of all- you are not giving me rational arguments- they are emotional. Define "good" and "bad". Who said money is evil? I have never heard that. Our souls are made in His image.

You need help big time and I am not referring in the spiritual realm. I know God is seeing you as an ignorant person and I know you speak out of anger and desolation. I will pray for you. Not even a hundred thumbs down will stop God's mercy and love on you, neither my prayers.

    In order, I hope:

-yes, he says he is our father as he adopted us, IF we accept it. but we are horrible and dont deserve it. we deserve death and in the old testament, to which i believe you are referring, he had the right to punish us. now jesus was punished for us, so god doesn't do that any more. he is not abusive and cruel, he is just and fair.

-we are made in his image in the sense that we can tell right from wrong and we have a conscience. other animals do not have that.

-okay, i agree job is a tough one. but the point was NOT that god tortured job. god LET satan try to tempt job into disobeying god. but god knew job's heart and that he would obey god, and not respond to satan's actions. this glorified god, and that is our purpose. and in the end, job was given by god everything back, but more than before.

-god has absolute power but chooses not to use it. thats why we have the choice to say no to him. god is not corrupted, we are corrupted and we chose to defy him. that is why we dont understand him.

-'evil' is anything that denies god of his rightful place and glory, in our lives and in the world. that includes satan choosing to disobey god and not live under his righteous rule. so yes, satan is evil.

-no it is definitly not better to rule in hell than serve in heaven. we were created to serve god, that is our purpose and so our true and lasting joy can only come when we are doing that. jesus says that when he returns satan and his followers will be dead forever. this does not simply mean not existing, it means existing WITHOUT god. and that is far worse.

-'Hell is supposed to be a seperation from god, is that actually good so he cant hurt us anymore? ' the first bit is right. but god is not hurting us right now, we live in a fallen world, and that is our own doing. SATAN his hurting us right now and tempting us to continue moving away from god. in heaven we will no longer be fallen and so there will be NO pain. in hell, there definitly will be.

-not only jews can go to heaven. people who accept jesus as their lord and saviour and show it in the way they live will go to heaven. in revelation it says that people of every tribe and nation and language will be standing before the KING in heaven. god chose the jews as his people in order for them to spread the news of his love. they are NOT they only ones who jesus died for.

-jesus never said money was bad, he said the LOVE of money is bad. if you let your desire for money control you, that is a sin. having money is not. god blesses us in different ways. he wants us to use the money he gives us to serve him. of course we need to eat, but we dont need 49" plasma screens when people in africa are dying of starvation. he justs means we need to give.
