Was that a real terrorist in Bruno?
Just saw Bruno, loved it. What gets me is the part where he interviews a "real" terrorist in Beirut. I know much of the film is staged, but I can't tell with this.
All google seems to bring up is the interview Cohen had with Letterman about it.
It says the terrorists name in the movie, but I can't remember it.
Does anyone know for sure whether the man was actually associated with a real terrorist group?
Ok, a little clarification.
I'm really only interested if someone remembers that actual individual name or the group he was a part of, not whether you "think" this was real or not.
Remember, there are Hamas members on CNN all the time- terrorist groups have PR people too and to be considered a terrorist is not necessarily someone who straps bombs to their chest.

Yeah he was a real terrorist, Cohen can find terrorist while american CIA agents can't find. Yup he was terrorist and shortly after Cohen gave up his location to the US government and he is now in Getmo.

Yes it was real. Everything in the movie was real except beginning when he is hosting the fashion show. Sasha even said this in an interview. It shows how low he will go to get a laugh. That's Borat for you.

I don't think they would allow that. Hollywood, is a crazy place but they're not stupid...
Come on, real terrorist! They probably picked up some nice arab guy and said act like a terrorist.
