Qustion about Acuvue Oasys?

This is the first time I am ever getting contacts so I went to the eye doctor and he recommended these which are nice because my brother has the same brand/type. However, my brother wears them for 14 days and night straight and only change pairs twice a month. I asked him about it and he said hes been doing it for 2 years and have had no problems with it. However I looked online and it should it should only be done for 6 days continuous wear. My question is, can I leave them in for 14 days/nights like my brother does? If you are only suppose to do it for 6 days, how come he hasn't had any problems. I am leaning towards taking them out at night before bed because I am so scared of an eye infection but am a little curious how come it doesn't effect my brother leaving them in for 14 days at all. Also, what do you do when you go out to a bar or something, come back at like 4am drunk, you aren't gonna want to take your contacts out, do you just sleep with them?

u can do it but its not the best to do

u shld take them out every nite b4 bed

because if they dry up in ur eye they are painful to get out

  • i was the same way. i was freaked out about sleeping in them. i don't recommend continuously sleeping with them cuz they tend to dry out and plus the proteins in ur eyes that builds up in the contacts needed to be cleaned by the solution. about getting an eye infection just be sure to was ur hands b4 putting them i/ taking them out. i used my contacts for a longer period of time with no problems besides it drying out so good luck.
