What breed is my cat?

I bought my cat from the pound. She is 12 now and I still have not been able to distinguish her breed. She is ALL white. Completely.. no other colors anywhere. She is medium length in hair.. very thick. She has huge blue eyes.. kind of in an eyptian shape. She weighs about 19 pounds but overall is a big cat. Big paws, long sleek tail. Any thougths I could check out?

Update:

Does anyone now how to post a pic on here? Maybe that would help. :oD ha ha

Odds are she isn't any breed at all - she's a cat of no particular breed just like over 97% of the cats on this entire planet. Cats were domesticated thousands of years ago and breeds established in only the last hundred of so. So your cat's not likely a mix either - it's simply a "domestic".

I would call her a blue-eyed white domestic longhair. Your description doesn't fit any purebred cat I am familiar with.

You can look up Maine Coons, which do come in all white, but there are several very specific characteristics that a Maine Coon has other than just size, such as tufted ears and a plumed tail.

A Persian also come sin blue-eyed white but they have flat mushed faces and very round eyes. No reason to think the cat would be a Maine Coon / Persian mix.

You won't distinguish her breed because she is highly likely simply a mixed breed - aka "mutt". Many people ask this question thinking the cat must be a certain breed. Not true. Unless you have proof or papers documenting the cats lineage, it is just a cat. I raised registered Persians for a time, but now have two mixed breeds. They are equally as wonderful and deserving of great homes.

She sounds like a Maine Coon mix or a Persian mix. Does not sound like a pure bred. She probably looks like a turkish angora, but those cats are very rare and you definitely wouldn't find one in a pound.

Without papers or a known history your cat is a domestic longhair. Sounds like a very pretty one too.

She sounds like she could be Persian. Maine Coon's have long fur but are usually striped or tiger looking marks.
