Can anyone give me some advice on fitness training?
Hi there
I am trying to build my fitness and have joined a gym. Equipment available is: treadmills, exercise bikes, rowers, cross trainers, steppers, vibrating machines and a range of resistance machines. I would like to get my general fitness up and hopefully tone up in general especially my legs. I will have about an hour for a workout each time I go

I would separate your aerobic and resistance training. One day to aerobic for an hour, the next day, focus on resistance, and so on. Focus on a few different machines each time, to get a variety of movements in.
Can I ask what the heck a vibrating machine is at a gym?!

well im sure that you have been given an induction session for a new starter which explains what each machine is designed to do and how tou use it properly. Your fittness instructor should give you a plan to do if you tell him/her your specific needs i:e tone up your legs the most. I can tell you that it is very hard to tone up your legs and will take alot of time and training to do so but if you are dedicated to do the job then you will see the results. Sqwats are very good for the back and front of your thighs and steppers are good for your calf muscles.
