Social Security Question Help?
Have a friend he is 46 he works 30 hours a week. His wife passed away they have no children together can he get her Social Security now at 46?
He has children from his first marriage who live with his ex wife can he get the Social Security for these first children which were the step children of the deceased.

The best way for him to know the correct answers to these questions would be for him to call the social security administration and ask... they know all the particulars of work credits and such on his record, which we do not know .

He can apply for Survivors Benefits which would be his deceased wife's social security, if she has a work history.
He cannot get social security for his children. The deceased wife was their step-mother and the children are living with their biological mother.
