Do you think extra-Terrestrials are manipulating humans to believe in god in order to appear as gods to them?

If they have, they may have miscalculated. Theists have raised the performance bar rather high.

This is a good question and makes alot more sense than what athiests normally think about human origins. This theory could also be used to explain how it is that Bible prophecy is time specific and event specific and perfectly on the mark for up to 2300 years.

However, there are several observations that rule out this possibility, unless the aliens could read minds and had the ability to do anything they wanted and were at the instant service of each human constantly all the time.

In my personal experience, God heard my prayer on the spot and healed me from appendecitis while a team of surgeons were ready to take me off to the operating room. He has also sent angels to me. Satans angels have also came to me and had to back down on the authority of the name of Jesus. I find it hard to believe that these beings are only pretending to be on different sides and i find it hard to believe that they are secretly friends.

I respect your idea as it could be made to harmonise with alot more raw data that the usual athiest type theories which can only be artificially forced to harmonise with a relatively small subet of the total amount of raw data.

However, i personally believe that it is alot more likely that God exists and has told us the truth and that His angels and Satans angels are not friends and are not secretly working togeather.

Has it occurred to you that the truth of our existence could be something we haven't even thought of. That is why I keep an open mind. Who really knows what the answer is.

Extra-terrestrials paints a vivid picture of little green men etc. but what if they are very much like us, or perhaps energy forms, or perhaps -------------etc. etc.

Havent you heard? There are very few humans left, most of them are being buried in plastic fema coffins as we speak.

The rest of us are some sort of extraterrestrial lizard supposedly.
