Let's say you are "born again" - washed in the "blood of Jesus" - given your "life to the Lord - Whatever?

If you die in the middle of a sin - say, a small lie - before you ask Jesus to forgive you of that sin - do you still get into Heaven?

I think you do. Ive been taught theres a middle level (i forget what its called. it starts with a p) and thats where your supposed to ask for forgiveness for all of your sins during your lifetime. Your loved ones are supposed to pray for you so you can leave that place and go to heaven. Kinda like a waiting room.

As a christian one shouldnt be sinning. God clearly states we must walk in truth. That means no lies at all. However to answer your question if one is a true christian and the lie was unintentional (and if the holy spirit is within us ) then automatically one will feel remorse. THis in its own way is repentance. If one knowingly sins, however, despite being saved and continues to sin and lie, despite knowing it to be wrong, then the chances of you going to heaven are minimized enourmously ( i say minimized because only God has a right to judge and because he knows all things including our hearts so it would possibly be diffrent for each individual) .

GOd has given us examples of his wrath in Exodus when he denied the people of Isreal ( his chosen people) the promised land for their sinful ways. Lies are not of God, they are of satan who is the maker of lies and deciet. How can a christian practice the devils ways and still expect to go to heaven. This is not realistic or logical despite them being saved.

Most christians will go to hell along with all the non believers and satanists when they die. However when the final judgment comes to pass they will be raised up to stand before God ( along with all the non believer who will now believe). Here they will be judged according to their deeds and actions and their remorse. Some will be obliterated along with satan and the satansists but some will gain access into the kingdom (These will make up the lowest ranks in Gods kingdom).

I think you are forgiven because Jesus died on the cross for the sins of the world. You get to go to Heaven by what he did not by your works.

The love of Jesus, will always save us, its how you feel about the Lord our God, a sin is not greater then the price Jesus paid for all.

Jesus came and died on the cross for our sins. As long as you have been reborn. No problem.

yes, jesus is the perfect propitiation for all sins past and present, and future.

to diminish that with man made doctrine is a works based faith availing nothing.

    purgatory is a fable,along with limbo...hilarious

Source(s): john 3:16 ephesians2:8 romans51:-9 and so on and so on. i'm often bafled by the ignorance of people who think they knoe the text. it's right there in black and whit.
