Anyone else not doing thanksgiving because your pregnant?

By thanksgiving i will be 39 weeks, so i will either be pregnant or just had a baby. My husband is in the army so we live far from family and haven't met anyone out where we are because we just moved here..

Is anyone else skipping thanksgiving this year too?

Update:

we live 10 hours away from home so driving is totally out of the question

  • I will be 35 1/2 weeks and am definitely having Thanksgiving. My husband and I are moving the weekend before that and I'm going to have 2 Thanksgiving dinners to go to, one at my house and one about 5 minutes away on a separate day. If I were you, have a special little Thanksgiving with the husband... and maybe the new baby.. :-)

I will be 37 weeks, and I have no idea what we're doing for Thanksgiving. Both families live several hours or more away, and I don't think us going there will be a good idea. And I don't particularly want a house full of guests at that stage, either.

So we might very well be having a 2-person Thanksgiving.

  • Im not skipping. I should have a 2-3 week old by then. I live 5 hours away from all family and friends also, just moved but a few of my family are coming here for t/g.

I'll be 38 weeks, and we are planning to travel 3 hours to be with our family over Thanksgiving (that is if everything is still going well at that point). Luckily I won't have to do anything though, as far as cooking goes - just ride in the car down there and back home so it should be a pretty easy trip :)

i will be 29 weeks by thanks giving and didn't even think about not doing anything just because I'm pregnant. It's just that I don't feel pregnant yet but I'm sure by then I will look and feel pregnant and maybe not in the mood for many things. Anyways, it's only me and my hubby so we will probably have our dinner.
