Strange cat behavior, does your cat do this?

I've seen both my cats do this, which makes sense cause they're brother and sister. Although Hermione, the female does it more. When she drinks water, she stretches one paw out almost like she's trying to swat something. I finally got a picture of her doing it, although it looks kinda rough, you can see what I mean. Have you ever seen a cat do this?

Update:

It doesn't worry me at all. I've always thought it was cute. I don't think it's a territorial thing either though, cause her brother wasn't around when I took the pic.

thats odd... i hope i dont scare you but ive never seen my cats do that... they are house cats though i dont know if that makes a difference... my cats do that sometimes randomly like when they try to cover up their poopy with the kitty litter but in random place where they know they havent pooped....

I think its just on of those weird things cats do. Cats are so funny, so maybe its just a habbit. They probably saw another cat do it or one saw the other do it and now they do that. I dont think its something to be afraid of tho :)

Ive seen that before many times.. its most common in multiple cat environments, but it boils down to "Don't bother me". Ive had cats do that with water, food, toys.. whatever.

its by no means anything to worry about.. just put it down to "something odd my cat does".

It replaced into not rape, it replaced right into a instruct of dominance. the different cat replaced into exhibiting your's that he replaced into in his homestead and he had to post to him. Cats do not undergo in suggestions one yet another after see you later. to this point as your in regulations' cat knew it replaced into in uncomplicated terms a wierd cat coming in to his territory.

It looks like she's protecting her territory around her food. Nothing to worry about.

    Cute pic!
