Is it OK to look your cat in the eyes while he's pooping?

Cats take staring into their eyes as an act of aggression. It could lead to hard feelings between the cat and you. If it gets really out of hand, the cat could start avoiding the litterbox.

I wouldn't recommend being anywhere near the cat when it's pooping/peeing. Cats like privacy, which is a reason why those litter boxes with a cover was designed. If I go near my cat when it pees, it runs away.

My cats don't seem to mind. They know I'm pulling for them. It's called teamwork. My dog on the other hand, if I make eye contact, it's pretty awkward, I have to pretend I was looking at something directly behind him... He usually don't speak to me afterwards for a while.

Would you like it if the cat wanted to watch you pooping?

Let the poor animal do its business in private.

It won't hurt the cat, but the cat would really like some privacy as all animals do.

Not unless you like some company while you are pooping.

Lmao, why would you wanna do that?!

I don't think the cat would like it to be honest.

    It might like some privacy!
