"Into the Wild" by Jon Krakauer (based on true events)
The Sookie Stackhouse Series by Charlaine Harris (kind of vulgar: contains sex and violence)
The Hollows Series by Kim Harrison (kind of vulgar: contains sex and violence)
The Anita Blake Series by Laurell K. Hamilton (extremely vulgar!!! Contains sex and violence)
"The Claire Switch Project," "Run Run Rudolph!" by Lynsay Sands (They are both only short stories,
but very good. "The Claire Switch Project" has a bit of a sex scene in it)
The Book of Lost Things by John Connolly
The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold
Any J.D. Salinger (he's kind of vulgar though)
The Reader by Der Vorleser
The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks (very funny book!)
Witch & Curse by Nancy Holder & Debbie Viguie
Chuck Palahniuk (his books are very vulgar)

Wow, you just listed almost every book I usually suggest. OK, wow, uh, how about Blue Bloods by Melissa de la Cruz and Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead? Those are about the only ones that I know of that you might like based on your list. However, I do think you should give Uglies another chance. It's not like the whole series involves cutting (and, as I tell everyone, emos are not cutters, cutters are cutters, however, emos can be cutters) and you obviously liked it enough to get that far in the series. The fourth book is awesome, and a lot of new characters are introduced. (And it takes place in Japan, a place that I personally love.)

I have similar taste - Though I love the House of Night Series.
The Vampire Academy Series

Forever
The Lovely Bones (A little violent at the beginning, but that's about it)
13 Reasons Why

Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist
How I Live Now
You Don't Know Me

I have the perfect suggestion. This is a new series by a brand new author and his writing style is great. I am currently 1/2 finished with the second book.
They are by Chris Evans.
#1 : A Darkness Forged in Fire (Book 1 of The Iron Elves)
#2 : The light of Burning Shadows (Book 2 of The Iron Elves)

Stravaganza by Mary Hoffman (City of Masks, City of Flowers, City of Stars, City of Secrets)
Gemma Doyle series by Libba Bray (Great and Terrible Beauty, Rebel Angels, Sweet Far Thing)
Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel by Michael Scott (The Alchemyst, The Magician, The Sorceress, The Necromancer)
Study by Maria V. Snyder (Poison Study, Magic Study, Fire Study)
Leven Thumps by Obert Skye (Gateway to Foo, Whispered Secret, Eyes of the Want, Wrath of Ezra, Ruins of Alder)
Darkest Powers by Kelley Armstrong (The Awakening and The Summoning)
Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan (too many to list)
Might like Diana Wynne Jones (I liked the Chronicles of Chrestomanci) or Tamora Pierce (I liked Song of the Lioness).

Have you read anything by Ted Dekker? He writes very good stuff and it's clean. If you like fantasy, I'd recommend Black, Red, White, and Green (they're all tie in to each other, though it doesn't necessarily matter what order you read them in, though that is the order I read them in (except I haven't red Green yet)). He has some excellent books, I highly recommend him.
