Why does Tiger Woods get to Choose when he talks to the police?

We all have that right, the only difference is Tiger Woods gets to exercise his right from his home, we get to exercise it from a jail Cell while they try to investigate and bring charges...

TMZ.com reported Florida law enforcement officials familiar with the case do suspect there was a “domestic issue” between Woods and Nordegren before the car accident, but the Florida Highway Patrol (whose case this is) has previously stated it would only investigate the matter as a vehicle mishap. If that indeed is the case, and there was no alcohol involved, Woods does not have to talk to the police again. Its like if you got into a fender bender, the HP shows up, does an investigation, and issues a citation and then leaves. Unless there is evidence of another crime, they have no probable cause to investigate you later

As someone stated before, it's a matter of jurisdiction. Also, since it was on his property (not a public road), alcohol might not be an issue. In most states it's not illegal to get drunk and crash your own stuff.

Personally, I think they had a big fight, and as he got in the car to drive off, she started in on the windows with the 9-iron. Then he crashed it. Why else would she have been beating on the windows, supposedly to" help him get out of the locked doors"? Doesn't she have a set of keys in the house?

Because that is his right under the fifth Amendment. He has committed no crime and doesn't have to give the cops the time of day. If everyone exercised that and other rights there would be lot less people in jail and prison. What you should do is read the Bill of Rights and exercise your choices within the Bill of Rights.

He's rich and famous. Those people get treated differently than the rest of us.
