Can OBDII code p0125 cause code p0170?
I've been having a code p0170 (Fuel trim malfunction) code coming up on my 1998 Mitsubishi Galant. I replaced the gas cap and added a can of B-12 fuel injector cleaner to the gas tank. I erased the codes and drove about 80 miles. The computer reset and now the code is p0125 (Insufficient coolant temp for closed loop fuel control). So now I have replace the thermostat to see if that is causing the problem. Are these 2 codes related? Any help would be appreciated.

The two don't seem to be related, although if the engine really is too cold it will tend to run rich which could bring in P0170. If the engine had lots of time to warm up when the P0125 was obtained the thermostat is a good suspect. I had one hang open about a mm, just enough to see, and the engine refused to warm up.
