how can i tell if the meniscus is torn on an MRI? What does a healthy meniscus look like?

    a healthy knee's miniscus will look like two solid black triangular shapes

    on the lateral (out) and medial (inner) slices of the pictures wich is what

    the MRI is.

    First if you can locate the miniscus area then hold it up to the light (the films) and

    if there is a whitish grey on the outer sides of the minicus wich should appear healthy black

    then you know its torn and its time to determine to what extent.

    or if you have the mri you can order a radiolodgy report.
