How do you get oil stains off of a concrete garage floor?

Yep ,kitty litter would be the first step, put some on, then smash it in with your feet in a twisting motion. Otherwise muratic acid does a wonderful job, just remember to read the directions, pour the acid into the water, not the water into the acid, or it will blow up all over you.. Make sure it is well ventilated, it will make a white spot if only used on one spot!

There are a number of oil stain removers that are available. Any local auto parts store should carry them. Another option that also could be cheaper is kitty litter. Both are similar looking and in purpose. Either way, just pour a generous amount onto the stain and it should soak up the oil over a little time. There isn't a good way to forever get rid of the actual stain but you can clean it up decently with either of these options.

I've always used oil absorbent or kitty litter and some parts cleaner, as mentioned press the absorbent into the stain with your shoe, the pour some naptha or degreaser solvent into the stain and absorbent, use a brush or towel to then pick up the remains with a towel. floor should look great. ps :use gloves when handling any cleaning agents includeing degreasers...good luck

1. obtain something absorbent such as kitty litter.

2. dilute the stain with gasoline or kerosene and scrub with stiff brush.

3. spread absorbent over stain and allow to soak up the liquid.

4. sweep up and dispose of correctly.

THIS should remove MOST of the stain, although it might leave a little.

There are available, at most automotive stores, chemical solvents that will also do the job.
