Taking a toddler to an aquarium for the 1st time on a train?

Hello- We are going to the aquarium today with my 16mnth old. Was wondering how your child did on trains(takes about an hour) and in what I am assuming to be a large crowd. Any tips? Items to bring? Im already taking a lunchbox with his milk, juice, and snacks. We live near train tracks so Im hoping he will be more wowed by the train then scared of it!

We use an above ground train system to get around quite often. It's faster than driving. I'm assuming you will be walking to the aquarium after the train. I always pack light for that reason. The less I have to carry around with me all day the better. The train usually keeps my kids busy. They are too much in aww to be concerned about anything else. At most we usually pack a couple books and a favorite toy. Better yet if you have a little toy train bring that. Outside of that we would pack necessities (milk/juice, snacks, food, diapers?, extra change of clothes, etc.).

Take some story or colouring books or something. Looking out the window probably won't keep a kid that age occupied for a whole hour. I spy, is usually a fun game to occupy the little ones too.

    Have a fun day.

I took my kids on a train ride in December (Polar Express) and my youngest son was 21 months old. He's normally trying to climb the walls but he sat there perfectly still, content, and just mesmerized by everything; he loved it. I think he will do great! Have fun.
