Can anyone suggest a good online group for caregivers for their disabled spouse?

Looking for others in similar situations for tips, inspiration, venting, asking if my reactions are usual, etc.

Update:

I apparently did not make myself clear. I am caregiver for my disabled spouse. I am not looking for anyone to do it. I am wanting to talk on line with others who also care for their disabled spouses to share info, tips, inspiration, venting etc. I would never ever have someone I did not know and had not 1000% + checked out stay with my spouse even though my spouse is physically not mentally challenged. I know there are on line groups for many things and figured there probably are for this sort of sharing and conversation too. If not I need to try to start one.

Update 2:

I don't mean to sound grouchy here but please try to answer what was asked.

I am caregiver for my husband I am not looking to hire a caregiver and so sites re: care services are not relevant. Neither are sites about families suing each.

I asked simply if anyone could recommend an online group for people who are caregivers for their spouses for encouragement, tips etc. If you know of a group like that on line (not a respite care service 1000+ miles away,) where people who are really doing this can help each each other please post a way to find it.

HELLO, YOU COULD BE MY ANSWER TO PRAYER. I don't know of an online support group, but I would love to talk with you. My b/f, whom I have lived with for over 2 years has multiple sclerosis, and I am his caregiver. I know firsthand how discouraged, sad, and lonely a caregiver can become. I know how we have self doubts, feel guilty about some of our feelings, etc....How do I get my e=mail address to you? Just know that you aren't alone. Takes someone special to undertake the task of caregiver to a loved one.

I would be afraid of an online scam. If you need a caregiver there are agencies that have trained people.

This is as good a place to vent as any . Just don't get excited it you get deleted a lot. We have a neighborhood cop that you either please are she plagues everything you say.

A lot of nuts come here. There are trolls much worse than me. All the usual on YA.

Then sometimes someone has a question you can answer.

    Some are just getting started.

So don't look for much education here but ask and see what comes up. But no I wouldn't order home care on line.

These are some blog sites I found, which might fit your interest. You did not mention your spouses illness. Do not be too discouraged if these are "illness specific." The same problems often plague caregivers of various and diverse illnesses.

You could speak to church people they may give you caring moral support. Or you could get with carers and disabled pensioners who are neglected by housing ministers and their representatives and put a petition to parliament house to voice your need for help and how hard it is for carers to cope.

This is good thing to do to improve and help you to cope.

If your in Australia you could join with neglected pensioners who have carers in their plight to

secure their rights for negelcted people with disaiblities and their carers who are abused by Housing and staff team people taking their money and not giving any goods and services - such like basic toilets , baths, stoves, doors and living is not given while money is taken.

Hope this helps you and your husabnd best of luck.
