Any litters planned for 2010-2011?

I have a litter planned for april of 2011. I already have puppy fever.....

Update:

Every puppy that has ever come from my kennel is accounted for. Many who have passed on are buried on my property, as a place of permanence for their remains. Not one of mine has ever been nor ever will be abandoned. Why? Careful screening and due dilligence when it comes to placing the RIGHT puppy with the RIGHT people, and never allowing an unaltered animal to leave my care, with very few exceptions. The people who want one of my dogs want a purebred, pedigreed dog of merit with predictable characteristics and temperament. They do not want a rescue dog or mixed breed. And they are willing to wait, in some cases up to 3 years, for the RIGHT puppy for them. That said, I do not feel I contribute to the overpopulation and abandonment of dogs. We are talking a different class of dogs, and a different class of people here.

Update 2:

Greyhound, I do show and compete with my dogs. And they receive better medical care and screening than I do. They even eat better than I do. My last litter was july of 2008, 3 of the 4 have majors in different disciplines. The 4th is a lovely pet that should have been conformation, but her temperament was such that she was a perfect fit for one of my return clients. In good conscience I could not deny her the chance to be a beloved companion, and give up the "glory" of the ring. Recognition for efforts to maintain workability, form and function are, of course, important to ANY kennel of quality dogs. But having one of yours go to a wonderful, proven home will take top priority at times, IMO

I have 2 planned litters on the ground now, first litter came on New Years eve, and second a week latter. They are AKC registered standard poodles. They all will be ready to go to new homes April 15th.

All 14 puppies have homes already except1, and am pretty sure she also has one,

It has been a long 6 months and will be glad when it is over and will never breed another dog over winter. 14 puppies and 4 adult dogs in the house,

properly you will no longer know no count if she is proper to reproduce yet besides as she does not of had her hips and elbows scored and different wellness assessments accomplished yet could she. whilst all this has been accomplished and she or he's shown to be an spectacular occasion of her breed by employing coach outcomes then you may set approximately looking a sire, and that of course is that in case you know what characteristics you're searching for for to compliment your b*tch. i certainly wish Gracie isn't fertile. we've adequate badly bred labs in the international rotting in shelters already with out Gracie producing yet another 10 plus to characteristic to the nightmare.

I do not have any litters planned - I am a responsible pet owner, my dogs are spayed and neutered.

Since you are an admitted hobby breeder, I hope that you will use this next year to show your dogs to their championships and have all the necessary genetic testing done on the dogs you plan to breed.

Unless your dachshunds are of the quality to add to the betterment of the breed, you should not be breeding any puppies ..... thousands of unwanted dogs get put down each week, as there are not enough homes for them all. There are no reasons to be breeding more pet quality dogs, there are not enough "pet" homes for them all.

Nope. My dog is spayed. And much as I love puppies, I don't really have the time, energy, or money for breeding.

I have two planned- one breeding at the end of April and one mid-June if everyone comes in on time. I was going to wait until the fall for one of them, but I recently took a new job and now I have the summer off, so it makes more sense to do it now, rather than have my hubby take time off in the fall. I've been drooling over the studs since they are not at my kennel. lol.

My sister in law has 2 planned litters for this year. She has many people already calling her for Daschunds and Chihuahuas.

Unusual question. A question that has been asked in the past by plenty of people. Some privy folk could even declare one had best employ carefulness when asking questions such as these.

No, I personally don't like the thought of contributing to the overpopulation problem of dogs. There's no positives about breeding when there are already 4-5 MILLION dogs and puppies being euthanized because of careless breeders.
