why is my cat peeing in my bed?
We just moved and we brought our out door cat inside because we are in a new town and no longer in the country. She has now urinated on our bed 3 times once while I was in it (on me) once while my husband was in it (next to him but on my side of the bed) and today no one was in it still though on my side of the bed. She has a clean litter box. I do not know what else to do. I am very frustrated but do not want to have to get rid of her. I am afraid it is coming to that point though. Please help! Real advice only please.
She does use her litter box the majority of the time. She has been here 2 weeks now and its only happened 3 times in that 2 weeks. She was not always an outdoor cat either. The home she was in prior to ours was hit by a tornado while the owner was hospitalized and the owner never returned. Someone let all her animals out and this cat sort of adopted us.

Did you teach your cat how to use a litter box? Most outdoor cats have no idea what a litter box is for, you have to teach them.
We had to do that with our feral stray.
You also have to realize that moving or any other major changes such as going from outdoors to indoors are difficult for cats. They don't like change at the best of times. They are surprisingly routine animals.
You may also want to have your cat in for a checkup, to rule out any underlying medical issues like a UTI or diabetes.

Because she was an outdoor cat and could pee wherever she wanted, she doesn't really know what the litter box is for. You are probably going to have to help her develop the litter box use.

If you are in a new place, she could be trying to mark you. I know that sounds funny, but you and your bed are things that came from the old place, and being in a new home, she could be confused and thinking that change is going to happen again. I had a kitten who did that exact thing when we first got her. i think it was because she was in a strange place and the only thing she recognized was us.
