If you have a bottle of hydrogen peroxide it can be safely used to clean coffee stains from the carpet. pour it on the stain, and let it soak an hour. There will be no need to rinse it. After an hour put some paper towels on the stain and place a heavy object on the paper towel. It will draw the peroxide to the paper towel.Peroxide is very inexpensive and will not stain your carpet.Good luck.

Never attempt to remove any stains from your carpet with a laundry product. I've seen hundreds of damaged nylon wall to wall carpets damaged permanently by people using Oxy Clean Laundry detergent on them. Also, never use a bleach either. Keep all laundry products in the laundry room. Many people I know have had success with coffee stain removal by treating the stain with white vinegar. Then blott it out and dry with a terry cloth towel by stepping on it with all your weight. If all else fails, your local hot water carpet/upholstery cleaner can remove the stain with commercial grade spotters made for this purpose. I recently purchased a Bissell Little Green machine , it is great for spot cleaning , big and small cleaning jobs and automotive upholstery and carpet cleaning (+ little green solution is very affordable) . I purchased mine at the local Wal-Mart Shopping Centre in my area , they are also available at Canadian Tire and Zellers , you are also try one of the local shopping Centres in your area to see if you can find one on sale . I have a really good one actually that my teacher told me about that works really well. You pour poroxide on the stain and it will foam and bring the stain up and you just dab it with a towel or paper towel and its gone. Hope this helps.

Oxyclean works AMAZING!!! Other cleaning products that work good are the ones made for dog piddle.
