My fiance is coughing up mucous?
My fiance is coughing up mucous which she says she feels coming from her stomach. She can't sleep because every few minutes she's bent over in a trash can coughing up mucous mixed with what seems to be food. Can someone tell me if there's anything we can do to stop this?

Coughing comes from the lungs, food comes from the stomach..If she is forcefully coughing, food could come up and be mixed with it.. She needs to be seen by a doctor..This doesnt sound like a normal cold and may need antibiotics.
