19 weeks pregnant and my mother is starting Chemo and Radiation?

My mother starts treatment for throat cancer on wedsnesday, is it ok to drive her to her appointments. I have heard conflicting information and I am still awaiting a call back from my Dr's office.

    First of all I'm so sorry to hear your mom is sick :( - think it should be fine as long as your in the same room where she's receiving treatment... Also I agree with you wanting to double check with your dr. Better safe than sorry. Best of luck for you and your mom, God bless.

    You will be fine taking your mother to her appointments. The chemo can't hurt you, and the radiation is very local - the radiation rays are directed at her tumour and none of it can affect you or your unborn baby.

    As long as your just driving her & not in the actual room where she is getting the radiation then you will be fine.

    Should be fine - she's the one getting the treatments not you
