i was molested as a child and finally came to the police and made a report. i got a phone call saying my case was sent to the da office is that a good sign.

It looks like the police felt they had enough information to pass on to the district attorney. So the police are satisfied. The DA may not be. But for now, you have passed one hurdle.

hopefully the da will feel that there is enough to be able to go forward with a case against the person that did this to you. So yes hopefully it is a good sign.
