A family friend is having some problems. There daughter got pregnant at 16 and moved out to live with her boyfriend and his parents. Her parents have called the cops but they will not bring her back home. Her boyfriend moved out of his parents house and is now living with his new girlfriend while the mother of his child lives with his parents. His parents took her parents tp court recently for child support for their daughter and they have been ordered to pay 1000 a month, but they will not let the mother of the baby take their son for child support. Now remember the cops would not bring her back home and the court would not force her to go back home. These people do not get to see their daughter or their grand daughter. Does any one have any information that would help them out? this happend in Clearfield County, PA
The police said it the wouldn't do it because then they would just end up there for domestics. I know these people and they are great people, both work very hard. I also know the fathers family and they truely are nothing but scumbags. I went to school with all the kids and everyone of them was a druggie and their parents where doing it with them.

Sometimes the law doesn't make sense, especially when it comes to child support.

This doesn't even sound like a real case. They cannot sue her parents for child support unless they have legal custody of her. They cannot get legal custody of her unless her parents or the courts give them legal custody and you would need to go to court for that.Even then, the kid can't choose to live with strangers just because she doesn't want to live with her parents...things just don't work that way.
Quit frankly, I don't even know why they would want the snobby little brat back anyways.

There has got to be a reason that this is working out this way. There has to be more to the story. Like hell I would let my son move out with another girl while his pregnant ex-girlfriend stays in my house. How horrible. But there has to be a reason that they didn't make the 16 year old go back to her parents.
