Can I paint the nursrey? I am 21 weeks?
Is it ok to paint? I am 21 weeks and have heard different opinions. I really want to paint the baby's room this weekend, all my friends have other plans and I don't want to wait. I am using a Behr interior paint.....Powder Pink on 3 walls and 1 wall Pistachio Ice Cream.
Thanks for the input in advance :)
Thanks everyone..I called my Drs office..they said that painting is fine...just leave the windows open and take lots of breaks.

My doctor told me it was fine to paint my nursery since most paint now a days is no where near as strong as it used to be. He told me to make sure the room was well ventilated and to leave if I ever felt dizzy. The worst part is the primer before you paint. Be sure to get a primer that is not very strong in smell. Home Depot was able to help us find one and it worked great. We only needed one coat before we painted.
Just to be safe you might want to check with your doctor but like I said mine told me it was not a problem.

Yes, you can paint. Have all the windows and doors open and have a fan going to help with the fumes. Take very frequent breaks and listen to your body. If you have a mask to wear, that could help a tiny bit. An air mask would be better but as long as the room is well ventilated, you should be fine.

Yes you can. Just make sure your house is nice an ventilated during and after painting. You can actually buy paint especially for nurseries that have very little fumes! Don't forget to take a break every so often and go outside for some air.

Today most people use paint that is latex and it is not toxic.
You can paint with latex.
Painting used to be very dangerous when paint contained lead, paint does not contain lead anymore.
There are still oil paints and they contain some high levels of toxic fumes.
Do not paint with oil paint.
When in doubt, ask your doctor.
Open the windows and air the room out while your painting.

women used to not be able to paint when pregnant bc of toxic fumes, but now a days most paint is made with latex instead of another ingrediant, so its safe. the smell obviously can be strong though so you should make sure your in a ventalated room. and dont stand on tall ladders bc your balance is off and you dont want to fall. i painted the babys room months ago, and im fine.

definite, it is the nesting syndrome. Getting issues waiting for the hot arrival. I painted, papered, refinished furniture, wiped sparkling and wiped sparkling and wiped sparkling. as long because of fact the section you're handling is particularly nicely ventilated, you're ok. a showering room isn't a nicely ventilated room even with the fan on and/or window open. you could desire to wallpaper it nonetheless. it is a secure decision. yet a royal soreness. did it as quickly as, in no way returned. too plenty to decrease around, and had to purchase paper two times because of fact my first decision wasn't an computerized trend line-up. what a multitude. finally grew to become out sturdy nonetheless. you will have the potential to alter your concentration on yet another room as long as you tell your self each time you walk interior the showering room "as quickly as this infant is born, i visit color this room!" Congratulations, by using ways.
