Iron Maiden's new single "El Dorado"?
being released a day in advance of their "Final Frontier" tour kicking off, thought it appropriate not only to ask opinions of the track, but also some Maiden related stuff in general.

MQ: It takes them a couple minutes, but when the song kicks into gear it's classic Maiden
MQ2: Anything with Bruce is good with me, even their more prog-leaning albums. I do feel a little bad for Blaze though. He never seemed like a bad guy (unlike Paul who's an a**hole), he just came into the band at a very low creative point. I think he takes an unfair amount of heat for some crappy albums.
MQ3: Powerslave
MQ4: The Sanctuary cover where he kills Margaret Thatcher and Women In Uniform where Maggie gets her revenge
MQ5: I like the new cover. Looks a little cartoony, but not bad.
BQ: I think the British would've fared much differently in the Charge of the Light Brigade if they had Eddie packing heat

MQ: I really like the new single. I went looking for it today but failed in finding it. I am very much looking forward to the new CD.
MQ2: I love all the newer Maiden albums with Bruce. I am glad they did not try to redo their older stuff but just made quality metal. I think they made the smart move, if they had tried to do a Number Of the Beast 2 it would have been a failure, maybe lol. It is hard to imagine them doing any wrong.
MQ3: I think it was Powerslave but it might have been Piece of mind. That was a long time ago lol
MQ4: My favorite art work and eddie has always been the single for Stranger in a Strangeland.
MQ5: Honestly it is one of my least favorite...but hey it is still Eddie.
BQ: The drawing is awesome.

MQ: Awesome, it doesn't stray from the stuff Maiden does but is still original.
MQ2: SUPER AWESOME! I really love the fact that he actually flys the 757 (yes it's a 757) that they tour all over the world in.
MQ3: The Number of the beast when I was 8 or so...it was a CD BTW, I'm not an ancient fan of Maiden I'm 14 :P
MQ4: The Egyptian Eddie from the somewhere back in time tour.
MQ5: It's cool but I think they tried too hard to have it different from the other Eddies.
BQ Sweet drawing too

MQ: I like it, but it's a grower. More I listen, the more I like it.
MQ2: I generally listen to the older stuff, but I find that post 2000 Maiden is good, but they seem a bit slower than before. maybe it's the longer songs and slower vocals?
MQ3: Powerslave. I love it, listen to it on every road trip.
MQ4: I really like the Eddie that appears on "Piece of Mind", mainly because he looks insane. But Eddie also looks cool on Somewhere Back In Time, Killers, Powerslave, and The Number of The Beast.
MQ5: I don't love the new Eddie so much. He looks too diminished. Like someone ripped off his skin and cut some parts off of him. And what's up with his teeth? I know he's British and all, but still... The eyes are menacing though, so he's got that going for him.
BQ: I love it. It's friggin' fantastic my friend. I might draw an Eddie doodle in my next spare... One time I did a sketch of Eddie (TNOTB version, arm extended and everything) grabbing Vic Rattlehead's head by the rattles. It was simple, but quite epic.

MA: The new single is good. It's different. But i hope that it is not the best track in the album.
MA2:: Bruce = Iron Maiden for me.
MA3: Powerslave
MA4: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/b4/Iron... (good old' Eddie)
MA5: The version is pretty good. A little futuristic. But i prefer the older Eddie.
BA: Awesome would be an understatement.

MQ: *clicks link* ******* AWESOME! It's good to see that they haven't strayed much from their older sound.
MQ2: I think they've got better with age, which is something that I can rarely say for a band.
MQ3: Number Of The Beast. And I Absolutely loved it. It's still my favorite Maiden album to this day.
MQ4: The X Factor. Nah, I'm joking. I liked the picture of Eddie on Piece Of Mind.
MQ5: Meh. Not very keen on it.
BQ: I can't say much about it apart from that it's great, since I don't know much about art. I prefer it with colour, though.

MA: Is very nice. Its quintessential Maiden, it does get better the more it is listened to, I'm looking forward to hearing the rest of the album.
MA2: going strong. Plenty of solid albums with great material, best stuff IMO since Seventh Son, although i liked all the albums in between too
MA3: Powerslave
MA4: Piece Of Mind
MA5: Dont like it. Kind of annoying to look at, what with the fangs.
BA: its not Derek Riggs, but it looks pretty good
Source(s): @mrstar to me, the main problem with the Blaze Bailey years were some songs on the Virtual XI album that have a bit of a chorus repetition problem, like "Angel and the Gambler", and "Don't Look To the Eyes of a Stranger." Otherwise, they were still good albums. - AdamLv 71 decade ago
I actually really liked it and for a band that has been doing what they do for some many years, I have to give them a ton of credit. I will say that I like their classic stuff better but If this song is any indication of what the new album is going to be like then I think I'm going to love it.
MQ2: Great... they're one of the few bands that's been able to change with the times but still have that classic feel to them and I love their more modern stuff.
MQ3: "Powerslave"
MQ4: Viking Eddie (My avatar! haha)
MQ5: Oh that's badass!!! haha
BQ: Really good and makes me jealous, like all your stuff dude haha

MQ - like you said, you're def not the first to ask (it's almost annoying now, but I'll suck it up for this Q). It's really kick @$$
MQ2 - Its like he never left (TBH, I liked their newer stuff more than their older stuff after Powerslave)
MQ3 - I bought Number of the Beast, Peice of Mind, and Powerslave all at the same time.
MQ4 - him on the Aces High artwork
MQ5 - pretty cool I guess
and as always, awesome drawing

I think it is pretty good, but if its the best thing that the album has to offer, I think that The Final Frontier is going to be a bit of a disappointment
