Per Diem requirements for a trucking in PA?
I work for a trucking company that, has me spending the night two or three times a week ( 300 - 600 ) miles from home. Company does not pay Layover pay. Can I use my log, and pay sheet showing no layover was paid, to recoup my expenses for being away from home?

When you do taxes, you can get a bit of a tax reduction but not nearly enough to revover the expenses.
Pennsylvania and your local income tax will allow a straight deduction for the entire amount from your state taxable income. The federal return only allows half of loding and then you still have to be able to itemize to get any benefit.

Save your hotel receipts (for lodging, there is no per diem allowed).
*If* your hotel bills are more than 2% of your AGI, you can claim the expense on form 2106 which then goes to schedule A. *If* you can itemize, you *might* reduce your tax bill. Of course, it can also trigger AMT.

Check out Schedule UE, yes you get a deduction for your overnights. Also your local return will give you a deduction.

you will possibly verify the corporation isn't making this variation on your dad's earnings. it is going to require so plenty greater artwork on your mum and dad' section to maintain song, plus it could value somewhat greater tax. they might desire to seek for suggestion from the IRS or a robust tax expert approximately this.

To recoup it from WHOM? Your company? No, they don't have to provide expenses. And nobody else is going to reimburse you.
Look for a different job, one that DOES pay your expenses.
