    No

Volcanoes only emit less than 1% per year of the CO2 that humans emit by burning fossil fuels.

We have increased atmospheric CO2 by 40%. Not so puny!

There are enough other natural Co2 emitters that are going all the time and very few people know about them. Like natural underground coal fires.

"Coal fires in China burn 109 million tons of coal a year, emitting 360 million metric tons of CO2. This contradicts the ratio of 1:1.83 given earlier, but it amounts to 2-3% of the annual worldwide production of CO2 from fossil fuels, or as much as emitted from all of the cars and light trucks in the United States."

And those are natural underground fires where coal veins ignite from spontaneous combustion. Not coal being used to make power.

    Nope.

    See link.

150000 to 300000 ton of CO2 per day for the volcano, that is between 250 and 500 times less than what we collectively produce from burning fossil fuel.

In other words, that volcano would put as much CO2 in a whole year than we put in a single day.

No, the "article" you are referring to claiming the Icelandic volcano is a huge contributor to global warming has so many factual errors in it that it is laughable. The fact that it is so full of hatred and vituperative remarks about people concerned about global warming is a strong clue that it shouldn't be taken seriously, people who resort to name calling and insults in a debate do so because they can't construct a logical argument. Here are the facts:

No, not at all. Someone did some calculations, and the volcano actually emitted *less* carbon dioxide than *would* have been emitted by the planes that it caused to stop flying. So in terms of trying to control climate change, it actually did us a favour!

So nope, no easy outs: we still need to care for the planet that keeps us alive and in comfort.
