No one is ever going to believe this, but I have a very special problem with my cat, help anyone?

Please forgive me if this shows up more than once, the first time I posted didn't seem to "take".

So, my cat Zeus is a little over two years old. We've raised him and his brother since they were 3-4 weeks old (they were dumped) and they've never had any litter box issues. Until now.

A few months ago, I noticed that Zeus was peeing everytime I did, normally. Well...he stands when my husband's in there. He's not spraying, he's peeing. Solved that by having hubby shut the door. I was washing my hands a few minutes ago, and in comes Zeus and pees standing up. Obviously the simple solution is to shut the door whenever we're in the bathroom. But, I wanted to see if anyone else had ever had this happen. I mean, I can't punish him, technically he's IN the litter box. All I can do is laugh...

I have one who has done that some times but not like every time on cue! But just be glad he is using the box! Look at the questions on here from people whose cat is peeing out of the box, they'd probably be thrilled if their cat started doing this instead! I mean in comparison this is a much less drastic problem.

but if it freaks you out too much just shut the door. :)

Did she already lose her milk the teeth, or did she unfastened them previous due? yet regardless, all kitties are greater specific than we, as their people, can ever particularly be conscious of. My cats are all very, very specific. Vicious, who regrettably died final year, became into such an uber affectionate cat, he enjoyed to sleep under the covers, and cuddle you all day long. He became into additionally very tall, and long, and he almost weighed 18 kilos. I enjoyed him sooooo plenty, and that i omit him daily. My long haired gray cat, Merlin, is probable the fluffiest element i've got ever seen, and he's water-resistant, too. He has discovered the thank you to open the curtains and likes to sit down down there, staring out the window for hours. He additionally greets me each and every time I come abode. Sean, my variety new kitten, is specific, too, even nevertheless i've got not had long to get to be conscious of him (in simple terms 9 hours) i be conscious of he would be a lovey dovey cat too.i won't be able to wait to get to be conscious of him!

That is unusual! As you said, you'll probably just have to shut the door. I've never had a cat that did that. I'd just take it as a compliment that your cat thinks enough of you to want to copy what you're doing!

well if it does freak you out you can just close the door but the reason he is doing it is because he thinks he is a person and he is just copying daddy and mommy when you go to the bathroom he thinks its ok to go to my cat always has to be in the bathroom when i am and he even goes in the toilet cause he sees me doing it so it is ok he is just watching mommy and daddy
