HELP! My cake roll failed! 10 points best answer!?

I tried to make a vanilla cake roll but when I inverted it everything stuck fast and pieces are over baked and others are just perfect. What can I do with this mess? Are there any desserts I could make with the pieces of cake roll that I was able to save. Please help! I don't want to just throw it away.

You could make tiramisu. You can layer bavarian cream and cake crumbs or whole cake.

Alternatively, you could make mini parfaits or so, and portion cake out evenly and put creamy yogurt and berries over top. You could use it in ice cream sundaes. Cake is good with everything! I'm sure you'll figure something out.

As for doing roll cakes, it works best to line the bottom of the pan with parchment paper. The sides you can just run a knife along when it comes out of the oven. As soon as it comes out, however, you need to take it out of the pan onto a tea towel that has been lightly sprinkled with sugar. Then you need to tightly roll your cake with the tea towel to let it finish cooling. This ensures that your cake won't split when you try to roll it again with icing in it. Better luck next time!

the next time line the bottom with parchment paper this way when you invert the jelly roll on a clean tea towel sprinkled with icing sugar it wont stick ,you just peel the paper off and spread the filling now roll the cake up with the use of the tea towel making sure that the seam is at the bottom of it .

to solve your problem now , get a tub of Lemon yogurt , cut the cake into little pieces and line the bottom of parfait glasses or whatever you have and work in layers top with a berry and serve ,

Buy some pudding and cool whip and layer the vanilla cake roll, pudding, and cool whip in a glass to make a dessert parfait.

hi there! you could make a layer cake.

    you will need:

    a mold

canned fruit or preserves (1-2 cans) depending on the amount of cake.

whipped cream or pudding (1 - 2 tubs) depending on the amount of cake.

    cake tidbits

light syrup with rum or bourbon (or any desired flavoring)

In a bowl soak cake in light syrup. in a mold, make a layer with the tidbits of cake, a layer of whipped cream or pudding, a layer of canned fruit or preserves, and start over until you run out of ingredients. Top cake with whipped cream. Enjoy!

If you have enough to layer it, and have a trifle bowl (glass bowl with straight sides with stem type base) you could layer it with whipped cream and strawberries (or a mixture of berries). Or you could use individual glass individual dishes

break them up into crumbly pieces and put them in a glass. melt chocolate and pour it into the same glass. then, top it off with whipped cream. to add final touches you can sprinkle some more chocolate on top.

it may sound strange but that is what i did when my muffins failed....
