Are all recruiters like this or is mine moody?
I have a Navy recruiter who is extremely harsh with me. When I update him every once in a while on the status of what I am doing with the required doctors appointments and the social security stuff, he replies back with that I am annoying him to death and one more comment and I can kiss the Navy goodbye and stuff like that. I seriously have not contacted him that often and only about the requirements. My first recruiter was actually really nice to me until I found out he wasnt really doing his job. Was the first recruiter just lazy and wanted to be a friend maybe? And, could the new recruiter be acting like this because he is serious? It hurts me every time he has responded at all to anything I have sent. Please do not be rude in responding to this. It just isnt neccesary. And, believe me I am ok with the screaming and yelling and I am ready to face it, but I am just wondering since I am not even IN yet, if this is how recruiters are all supposed to be?
advice from my national guard recruiter friend- call the nrd and report it and i did. he took it Very seriously. See, smart comments like the person who said he thinks he is wasting his time- you dont even know all of the details. i am only asking an outside opinion. and yes, he probably does think he is wasting his time, but i have already met and exceeded all the requirements. my asvab was a 73 and i can do anything physically they require and more.

Being in the military you are always suppose to be respectful to people, regardless if you are "annoying them". Next time you update him and he says you can kiss the Navy goodbye, just tell him 4get it. Get your paperwork and go to a different office.

It's the Navy. Healthy kids want to join so you're a hassle to him and more paperwork. He's probably trying to drive you to bother someone else. He probably thinks you're not qualified and a waste of time.
Edit: If you're still trying to resolve medical issues then you have NOT met and exceeded all requirements. You're deficient and he doesn't want to deal with it. You reported it to his boss - now when his boss asks him about it, he is going to explain you are a whiney unqualified, broken applicant and that you won't accept you can't get in. Your recruiter's boss is going to look at your record and see this is true. After he sees its true, absolutely NOTHING is going to happen to your recruiter.

I don't know about others, but my recruiters were ok.
Use a different recruiting office if you can.
