can a force my fiance into rehab?
my fiance is 33, and suffers from alcoholism. he was a former drug user but put that part of his life away many years ago. he just swapped it out for the alcohol. when he doesn't drink, he is wonderful. when he does, even as little as a couple of beers, he becomes angry, violent, and completely unapproachable. he has never hurt me, but his throwing things, breaking furniture, putting fists through walls, i would be stupid to assume it could never happen. the laws in Louisiana say that someone can be forced into rehab in short, if they are homeless and without means. he has means. in fact he has millions and a sense of entitlement to go with it. what can i do? i love him, this isn't the real him, this has only happened in the last few years. his family fears him. i am beginning to fear him because i have to walk on eggshells when he has anything to drink. he refuses to admit he has a problem thereby refusing rehab. can i force him? i am ok with the fact that he may leave me if i try. at this point, anything is better than this.
sending me to home remedy websites and crackhead music videos on youtube does not help. i am trying to remove a stain from a shirt and i am not 18 years old. this is not a joke. this is a serious problem. i am scared of him. please keep your stupid answers to yourself. thank you for the serious answers. i really do appreciate the other suggestions.

Well, you can try to make him go to rehab, but he'll say, "No, no, no!" (see link, below).
Good luck!... ☺
UPDATE: You wrote: "i am trying to remove a stain from a shirt" And you're calling US weird? Listen, honey, everyone, except you, apparently, knows that you DON'T come to Yahoo! Answers for "serious" answers, this place is mostly full of spammers, trolls, love-sick teens and 12-year-old wiseguys. If you really want SERIOUS help, you go to a doctor or a shrink, not some dumb website that's pretty much the equivalent of graffiti on a men's room wall, OK?

Contact a drug addictions counselor, a clinical social worker,or some other professional in the mental health and drug and alcohol field to stage an intervention. Get all your friends and family together bring a professional who specializes in intervention with you. Expect him to become hostile and defensive. Tell him "it's either me or the alcohol".

no, but you can talk to him about it and if you are really nice about it, he'll see that you truly love him and want the best for him, but won't settle for an alcoholic.
