Should Unions or the ACLU be allowed to interfere in Politics in any way shape or form?

NO............there main job should just to protect the rights of all people - NOTHING to do with politics.

You are mixing apples and oranges. The ACLU is an activist organization which serves as a private watchdog. Their mission is to identify and publicize cases of discrimination and violation of human rights within the USA. The other type of union you may be referring to is a labor union. A labor union is an organization which represents a group of workers. Labor organizations and the ACLU are not related.

Everyone interferes in politics from one time or another. Funding for candidates comes from many sources. Some organizations place advertizements on TV. Individuals express their opinions in the workplace, at home, and with friends. Many people join political parties and take on important positions so they have a say in choosing delegates who run for public office.

Should certain groups be banned from the political process? Of course. But that won't stop Senator X from meeting behind closed doors.

The world is ruled by who has the most money and those who use that power to influence governments. It's the rare bird who votes with a conscience and not with a view of their personal advantage.

That's how the world works and it will continue to work that way until the Rapture. If you don't believe in the Rapture, then you can be sure that a polar shift or an asteroid will change the system - if man survives that long. At the rate we are destroying the planet, I have serious doubts.

In the meantime, live to the best of your abilities to be an honest, compassionate, and hard-working person so you enjoy the time you have on earth and help those around you to enjoy it as well.

Sure they should these groups are made up of people. And people have a constitutional right to voice their opinions. The same goes for the NRA and as the US Supreme court has recently ruled corporations.
