My Cat runs in circles when I cut off it's whiskers on the left side?
Yesterday I trimmed my cat's whiskers because they were getting a little long looking. But I accidentally trimmed the left ones alll the way off because the cat kept mving. Now she just runs in circles and runs into the walls. Should I be worried?
Unless somone cn top meatfichery's answer, he's got my vote :)

You need to install a rudder onto the cat's tail. I know I had the same problem.

First off, NEVER cut the whiskers!
Also known as "tactile hairs" or vibrissae, whiskers are the long, thick, flexible hairs on a cat's face. These hairs are located in horizontal rows on the whisker pad, the puffy area between the top corners of your cat's mouth and the outer edges of his nose. Whiskers, like hair and nails, do fall out and are replaced. But whiskers are different from the cat's body hair in a few ways:
•Whiskers should never be cut or trimmed (we'll discuss why later).
•Whiskers are two to three times thicker than the cat's hair.
•Whiskers are rooted very deep in the cat's face, in an area rich in nerves and blood vessels.
In addition to having the long tactile hairs on their cheeks, cats also have shorter ones above their eyebrows, on their chin and on the back of their front legs. Since we are most familiar with facial whiskers, let's look at what they are good for:
•Navigation
•Mood indication
•Measuring an opening
Whiskers help the cat feel his way around. Whiskers are so sensitive that they can detect the slightest directional change in a breeze. At night, for example, this helps a cat slink its way through a room and not bump into anything. How? The air currents in the room change depending on where pieces of furniture are located. As the cat walks through the room and approaches the couch, he'll know which direction to turn based on the change in air current around the couch.
SO NEVER CUT THE WHISKERS

No it doesn't. The loss of it's whiskers has virtually no impact on any cat.
And whoever counselled you to post this question just made you look like an A $ $ . They are probably laughing themselves silly at you right now.
If you want to make a cat run in a circle you affix a 6" piece of tape lengthwise to the side of it's body.
EDIT - and after reading your response to "Meatfichery" I'm just going to assume that you do not even keep a cat under that bridge.

No, that's not genuine. yet please do not test to make sure for advantageous. The whiskers especially help the cat "experience" its way around at night interior the lifeless of night. they have particularly sturdy night imaginative and prescient, however the whiskers help them decide the size of areas the place they could walk or circulate slowly.

You should never trim your cat's whiskers. They contain a nerve in the base that the cat uses to sense tight spaces. She is probably in a hell of a lot of pain and very confused.
The whiskers will shed when she is done using them. They are just a modified hair. Don't EVER trim your cat's whiskers. Its cruel and unusual punishment for them.

No she didn't. Nice try in getting people upset. But for those who want to try it, simply don't. It is cruel to your cat since they are sensitive sense organs. But whiskers themselves don't have any pain receptors. Whiskers can pick up changes in air pressure and currents, so cats can easily maneuver in total darkness.

That's horrible!
And from now on you don't need to trim your cat's whiskers. There's no such thing as whiskers getting "too long".

Like everyone else has said, trimming your cat's whiskers is cruel to them because they use them for sensing their surroundings. I know you weren't trying to be cruel. Just don't do that again.
