    The strict dictionary definition is a doctrine, attitude, or way of life centered on human interests or values; especially a philosophy that usually rejects supernaturalism and stresses an individual's dignity and worth and capacity for self-realization through reason.

    I like the latter part of that since it is my personal philosophy as well. There is no proof for god or the supernatural, so why force us to live our lives as if such nonsense were real?

    Humanism is essentially the finding of Godliness in Humanity and the rediscovery of literature and art for their own sake. See link below.

    Humanism is not "against the Bible," in fact Humanism encourages the study of the assorted religious texts, as they do give excellent instruction in certain cultural and historical views.

    Humanism *does* tend to reject religion (specifically the organized religions known at the start of the Renaissance in Europe), as they place no greater power over Humanity.

    perform as many good deed as we can and avoid any bad deeds either if its an action, word , or thought, since to be born as human are very rare..so, we should not waste this opportunity.

    thus good deeds that we did could destined us to state of happiness after this life time.
