It depends on what calculator you're using:

    1) You can press on the sign that shows ' a b/c ' to change it to decimal and mixed numbers. You can press 'shift + a b/c ' to turn it into improper fraction.

    2) Another calculator is that you press the sign ' S to D '. The 'to' is an arrow.

If you have a calculator you might have a special button if not. If it's a non repeating, termenating number remove then do an equation. 1.2/1. There can't have decimals so you have to multiply the top by at least 10. (always do the minimum) That makes 12/? (Don't forget the bottom number gets multiplied by 10) Answer 12/10. This can later be reduced to 6/5. Always reduce if you can.

Step 1: Write down the decimal divided by 1.

Step 2: Multiply both top and bottom by 10 for every number after the decimal point. (For example, if there are two numbers after the decimal, then use 100, if there are three then use 1000, etc.)

Step 3: Simplify (or reduce) the fraction.

    Example 1: "Express 0.75 as a fraction"

It'd be 0.75/1 multiplied by 100, since there are 2 digits after the decimal.

Then if you put it in your calculator it'd say 75/100 then reduce it.

depending on the number of decimals just put the entire number over a 1 with the number of decimals and then simplify that. Other than that i do not know how to do it on the calculator
