Shoulder issues...any ideas?
On the left shoulder, at the bottom point of the shoulder blade, I am experience a pop/dragging feeling when I lift my left arm... pain rating would be like 2 out of 10. It feels like it is under the bottom of the shoulder blade. I have noticed it for a few weeks, but cannot recall any occurrence which would have caused something like this. But, I am a mountain biker, and I race and stuff - so crashes do happen...and that could have been a cause. Further, when I workout, specifically on the bench press, it hurts more like 6 or 7 out of 10 and the dragging/popping feeling is amplified.
Any ideas as to what this may be? An RN at work told me it was torn cartilage, a Chiropractor student told me it was an overstretched tendon...

It really depends on what the injury actually is, so you need to try to identify the injury. It could be a rotator cuff injury or tear, or it could be something else entirely. It is important to make an accurate diagnosis of the cause of your symptoms so that appropriate treatment can be directed at the cause, not just the symptoms. Check these sites to try to determine exactly what is going on. You should really see a doctor for an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan.
