  • Generic meds...refusing and going with name brand?

I switched pharmacies because of my location. The new pharmacy carries the same generic drug for one of my medications, but it's from a different manufacturer. They do not have the same generic manufacturer that I was taking.

My prescription is for the name brand and is allowed to be replaced by a generic. And, after just over a week of taking this other generic med, I'm having headaches that are not typical. I was on the first generic for 3 years without changes the whole time.

If I tell the Rx that I need the name brand, what is the outcome financially and with insurance costs? I know it will be higher...but if you have any insight on what I might be looking at, l would appreciate it! Thx!!

  • Independent Study PhD?

Hello: I'm looking at an independent study PhD that is facilitated through Northcentral University. The program is regionally accredited and is highly attractive to me because it is 'self-directed'. The purpose of the PhD is to either expand into my current organization (very large healthcare support services company) into high level training and development &/or to start my own consulting firm.

I currently hold an MBA with an HR Management emphasis from a brick and mortar school. I'm looking for feedback regarding the idea of such a PhD program. I am not looking at pursuing the PhD to teach academics, although it 'could' come about I suppose...but it is not the purpose of my PhD.

With my current employer, I will not be able to grow unless I continue to relocate. Thus, starting - and staying - at a B/M school for a PhD is impractical; again, adding attractiveness to the independent study program.

I would also like to continue working for my current employer as I know opportunities are always available for growth. Also, I can't just 'leave' the company. Due to tuition reimbursements, relocation bonuses, etc, to avoid financial penalty, I have to stay with the company 2 years AFTER the receipt of such funds...so if I left today, it would cost me over $15,000 due to the past money received.

Thanks for any feedback you may have.

  • No campus PhD nearby? Is online 'okay'?

Where I live, as well as both cities I'm probably going to be relocated to, there are no PhD programs in my area of study at these cities...

So, I really want a PhD, but my only option looks to be online...what do I do?

  • Relationship loose ends...?

So...I have some questions...looking for advice...

On my (was soon to be, now unsure, fiancé) girlfriends phone a a few weeks ago, I found a picture of a guy showing his dick on her phone...she said it was from a 'sync' of old photos on her computer. My rationale was that it should not have been on either. The relationship her and I have is very serious and growing (as far as I can tell).

I got divorced before we got together and one of the things I made 1000000% of before I moved on was to delete EVERYTHING of my ex and I...she says this photo was of Ab ex

I used her iPad today and a Skype notification popped up...her 5 contacts included me, her mother and 3 guys. When I used her iPad to search for something on yahoo, a history search popped up as I typed that said "how to ask guys out."

Am I legitimately paranoid or is this something to question?

When I say anything she gets extremely emotional and says I'm trying to find something to pick on her about...

I don't feel like I can trust her completely.

    Thoughts?

  • Career transfer....relationship in the balance...?

    Okay...

So, I'm a business developer and I am in need of some specific experience before I have a leg to stand on to secure capital in expanding my business.

So...my current employer is offering me a transfer 800 miles away for the exact experience I need for my business. To go, in addition to the opportunity, I am receiving $27,000 more in pay.

I think my potential fiancé will be split 50/50 on going with me. When do I tell her? I don't want to cause an uproar before officially getting the job...but I want her to have time to think about it.

  • Responding to her "freudian" slip in saying I love you?

    Okay, so...

I am recently divorced and have been dating this girl and it is going SOOOOO awesome...We have been together for a while...we spend time together daily...hours together.

Today, as I was getting out of her car, we got into a comfortable moment where when I was getting out of the car, she said "I love you..." so quickly and almost randomly that it took me by surprise. She said it so quickly and 'uninterrupted' that I know it felt natural to her... But, as soon as she realized it, she backtracked quickly to cover it up.

Later on, I asked her about it since she quickly covered it up...and she said it was a "freudian slip...and was too early". Knowing she felt extremely awkward, I called her later that evening and told her it was okay and not to worry about it...On the phone she said, "lets just put it under the rug for now and you can bring it up later."

Now, I feel a bit pressured to follow-up on it...I kind of feel like if I DON'T respond to it that I will disrespect her feelings. I feel like love is 'in the making', but I do not feel like I am ready to actually say those words YET.

What do you think? Should I say anything about it at all? Or what? Thanks!

  • State Parks Access Restrictions?

    Okay...long story short.

So, I live in Missouri, and there is a state park nearby that is building a bike trail...after several months, the trail is built. However, the state park says that no one is allowed to go onto the trail until they declare it "open". They advise us that tickets will be issued if we use the trail.

This is not a natural or wilderness area, btw.

Is this even legit? I thought that if state parks and public lands were open, then you could enter as they are public land...within reason of course. But can they restrict and write tickets for trail use on a trail built for bike use once it is in place?

  • getting a PhD...maybe...?

    Hello:

I have a question...or am seeking opinions rather.

I have attended a state university for my AA, fell for the Phoenix pitch and ended up with a BS in management... I then managed to make it into a good private school to get my MBA (12 credits left to completion this fall). Now, my wife is pursuing a PhD at the local state university and I am beginning to take an interest in doing the same...

My biggest hesitation is that I have no experience teaching and want to get into teaching post-secondary education with the PhD in management. I have been in management since age 19, and am in a mid-management level now in a very large health care system at the age of 27.

I would like to know your thoughts on getting a PhD, and if having no experience in education will hinder me greatly-OR if my experience actually in "management" will equally benefit me.

    Thanks for you $0.02!!

  • Shoulder issues...any ideas?

On the left shoulder, at the bottom point of the shoulder blade, I am experience a pop/dragging feeling when I lift my left arm... pain rating would be like 2 out of 10. It feels like it is under the bottom of the shoulder blade. I have noticed it for a few weeks, but cannot recall any occurrence which would have caused something like this. But, I am a mountain biker, and I race and stuff - so crashes do happen...and that could have been a cause. Further, when I workout, specifically on the bench press, it hurts more like 6 or 7 out of 10 and the dragging/popping feeling is amplified.

Any ideas as to what this may be? An RN at work told me it was torn cartilage, a Chiropractor student told me it was an overstretched tendon...

  • wood press machine/tool name?

    Hello:

I am trying to find out information on a machine....

I need a wood press that will take a board that is 1-2" thick, 3" to 22" wide and up to 25" to 60" long and turn it into a circle... I am not sure of the name or if I would be better off to get a steam one or what...

So, in simple terms I guess; what is the name of the wood press that turns a solid wood rectangular board into a perfectly round circle?

I am wanting to make some tables w/ round bases (glass on top of a tall wood ring basically) that are solid wood and set up vertically on edge in various sizes and levels.

    I hope that is understandable.
