What are the ideal ages to get my baby circumcised and Uvula cut?
My son is 51/2 months old. i was wondering from his age, when is the best time / age to get him circumcised (am thinking when he gets to 6months because he'll have to be put under amnesia). I also want to know the age i should take him to the doc to get his uvula ( the little piece of skin hanging down the throat, that touches the tongue as you get older) cut. mine was cut when i was 16yrs old cuz i was having trouble with tonsils, i could swallow all the time and breathing was uncomfortable. when i was cut it was so painful and took time to heal.

Ideal time for circumcision is in the first 2 weeks of life. If you are getting him circumcised, do not delay. It is usually done with local anesthesia.
A friend of mine is a urologist. He says that in men he has seen there is a much higher rate of cancer of the penis in uncircumcised men. He said cancer of the penis almost never occurs in a circumcised male. He said be sure to see that babies in my family be circumcised.
The uvula is not something to be removed, unless this person has a specific problem. Drs try to avoid any and all unnecessary surgeries.

If you didn't have him circumcised when he was just born, then you shouldn't circumcise him unless there's a compelling medical reason. Actual medical reasons for circumcision are rare. Usually, baby boys are circumcised just because it's routine or, in some cases, for religious reasons. In those cases, it's done when the baby is just days old. Judaism calls for ritual circumcision at eight days, and hospitals usually do it even sooner than that.
You shouldn't have his uvula cut, either. From your description of your own operation, what you had was a tonsilectomy. That's only done if the tonsils are severely or chronically infected. Though it was once a routine childhood operation, the medical field is now against tonsilectomy unless there's a solid reason for it. Healthy tonsils shouldn't be removed.

Other than the placenta, there is no reason to cut any part of the human body. Leave the poor kid's foreskin and uvula alone. Judging by what you've written, the kid will have enough problems. Let's just say that I hope you somehow manage to find a pediatrician who knows a bit more about medicine than you do.

First of all, he won't have to be put under "amnesia". Anesthesia maybe, but not amnesia.
Second, you don't get your uvula cut. It is the main part of your gag reflex and I'm pretty sure there is no reason to ever get it cut.

Actually if you had wanted your little boy circumcised you should have told the doctor when he was born. It would have been done before left the hospital. And wouldn't need to have anesthesia to have it done! So now have it done when his doctor recommends it.......
You probably had an abnormally large uvula. It's a rare occurrence. So don't have it done unless it's needed and recommended by a doctor.

If you wish to circumcise your son it should be done asap - normally it is done just after birth or in the first few weeks when it is less painful. The older the child, the more painful.
Do not touch his uvula unless it is needed for medical reasons and your doctor requires this surgery to be done.

Leave your baby the way God made him. Oh and for the record, no one removes their uvula!!

You have some serious misconceptions about the nature of the human body lady.

Ugh... I don't believe circumcision is right or necessary to do to your child. You should wait until he's old enough to decide for himself if that's what he wants.... Which is maybe like 16?? idk.
