Why won't my twelve year- old daughter submit a resume to become a budget analyst?

Our finances are a little tight, and I thought this would be a great opportunity for her. She is unsure if she could handle the pressure. I told her I would fill her in about deficit spending and lean manufacturing procedure, but that does not seem to make her feel at ease. What do I do?

I truly understand finances being tight and I constantly want my two 14 year olds and my 16 year old to get a job and help me out.

When I ask them to get a job I mean publix, walmart, mcdonalds, but a budget analysis? I think that that has alot of complicated words and concepts that she might not get, and if she does do the job then she might have alot more stress in her life.

Now if you still want her to do the job than ok. What you should do is wait until she's relaxed and calm and sit her down and talk to her. Tell her to give it a chance, and explain the job to her and the responsibility in it. Also, the terms like deficit spending or lean manufacturing procedure and just what the job is. If she doesn't want to do that then ok, but she gave it a chance and she said no. Also, if you find some kind of job ( if she says no to the other one) other than the budget analyst, find something she might enjoy a little bit.

Kids don't like to work on numbers and terms and budgets, if she says yes then great, but if she says no I think you should find a more kid friendly job.

    :)
