Motherboard issue....?

I have an msi mobo, model ms-7380 ver 1.3. I'm trying to reset the board however I see nothing in the manual about resetting. There is a clear CMOS button but nothing happens when you press it. So im guessing the reset process is sequential. Anybody know how I can reset it???? I need all the help in the world

First of all you must hold the button down for at least 5 seconds or it won't clear.

I have a n MSI mobo and it has a jumper near the small 3v battery that looks like a shinny coin. IF no jumper just take out the battery for a few minutes and put it back in, that should clear the CMOS.

Here is a video on clearing CMOS

Two ways pull out the cmos battery for a couple of minutes,or cmos jumper is set in 2-3 move to 1-2

for about 1minute and set back to 2-3

    the above is correct

I would like to add make sure you unplug the PC completely of course =)

I have even seen independently powered usb devices still connected providing power to the mainboard through the usb hub...keeping the bios settings alive.

you can touch a screwdriver to the positive and negative prongs where the battery connects to expedite things...otherwise you have to remove the battery (the LED on your mainboard should not be lit at this point) and wait a minute or bridge that connection as stated

remove the CMOS Battery then Restart the computer then shutdown> put the CMOS Battery then your problem is solved

u need to open up your system unit and find a very small button, when pressing that it will reset your pc.
