How long does it take for a cat's broken tail to heal?
My cat was hit by a car two weeks ago and survived. His tail was broken at the base. He has been on Prednisone and feverfew for inflammation. The last couple days he has been able to somewhat lift his tail. :) How long will it take for a full recovery?

It will be about 6 weeks. Has it been splinted so it grows back straight? Or it will probably cause permanent pain.

my cat was hit by a car three weeks ago broke hip and tail at base hasn't been able to control bowls or bladder have to wipe but and bath every day just moving the tip on tail can your cat tell when he is goiing try to write another question and let me know please

Poor kitty cat!!!! He must be in soooo much pain. Anyway, prob. about 4 to 8 weeks. Depends on how bad it was broken.
